Chapter 164 - Lets Start Over (1/2)
”I don't have anything to talk to you. Why are you at my parents' place? ” Han Yue Xiu glanced at his hand on her arm dangerously. ”Are you not letting me go?”
Song Yi obediently released his hand. Before Han Yue Xiu could take another step, Song Yi spoke again. ”Han Yue Xiu, please, let me say a few words to you alright?”
Han Yue Xiu opened her mouth to say something. But realizing that her mother was peeking at her through the kitchen, she instinctively shut her mouth. She tossed the bag of snacks on the table then waved her hand to him, gesturing him to follow her out. ”If we're going to talk, let's do it somewhere else.”
The corner of his mouth curled up as Song Yi watched Han Yue Xiu turned around. He followed her around but his expression darkened when they stopped at the empty staircase. ”Why did you bring me here?”
”Didn't you said you wanted to talk? Now talk. I'm giving you five minutes,” Han Yue Xiu said. ”But if you say something that pisses me off again, I will leave immediately.”
Song Yi's expression turned panic when he heard that she was going to leave.
Of course, he knew well what were the words that Han Yue Xiu did not want him to say. The last time that he had said them, didn't he make her displeased?
Song Yi clenched his fist as he was reminded what his friend had reminded him to say. He opened his mouth a few times to say the words but found it hard to say. After a few seconds, the words finally escaped his lips. ”Han Yue Xiu, I'm sorry. ”
Han Yue Xiu was about to leave after Song Yi had stayed silent for some time when she heard his words. Slowly, she turned around to look at her ex-boss and wondered if her ears were playing tricks on her. ”You… what did you say?”
”I'm sorry,” he repeated. Song Yi thought that saying the words for the second time felt easier. ”I know that I have not apologized for that thing I did the last time. I shouldn't have kissed you without your consent. If I offend you in some kind, I apologize.” Song Yi lowered his head.
Han Yue Xiu stared at the man's face for a while as if waiting for him to pull another trick on her.
But looking at his expression, she could tell that he did not come to pull a trick or launch into another speech on why she should date him.
Han Yue Xiu had known Song Yi for a few years, but this was the first time she had seen this expression on his face. Right now, Song Yi had this docile look on his face.
For as long as she had known him, Song Yi was someone that always had this arrogance look on his face. When did he ever have this kind of expression? When did he ever apologize to someone?
This should be the first time she had seen this scene.
After a long silence between them, Han Yue Xiu dropped her gaze. ”Apologies accepted.”
Song Yi looked up at her with a spark in his eyes. ”Really?”
Han Yue Xiu paused and nodded. ”Un.”
