Li Qin Yao returned to her office the next week and was immediately slumped in works. Due to that previous incident two years ago, she wanted to pay more attention to the suppliers.
Because of her negligence, someone had forged her signature to approve the use of cheap materials.
Now that she had been given the chance to work on such a huge project, Li Qin Yao did not want to repeat the same mistake. Moreover, she did not want her mistake to harm Zhang Yu Han and his friends. They have invested a lot of money on the project and trust her.
Liang Sheng entered her office carrying a few documents in his hand. He placed the documents on Li Qin Yao's table and stood at the side. ”Miss Li, these are the shortlisted companies.”
Li Qin Yao browsed through the papers and paused when she saw one of the companies names. WS Company? Why was that name sound familiar?
”Miss Li, is there something wrong?” Liang Sheng asked.
Li Qin Yao snapped out of her thoughts and shook her head. ”No. Nothing's wrong.” She slid the paperback to Liang Sheng and said, ”You can proceed as planned. The representative should be here soon, right?”
Liang Sheng took the paper and the two of them discussed for a while about their plan. Then, he stood beside her table and took out a few envelopes. ”Miss Li, I met with the Chairman last weekend and he wanted me to give you these.”
”What are these?” Li Qin Yao looked at the envelope and noticed that she had received them a few days ago.
”It's Director Li Ming Han wedding invitation,” Liang Sheng explained. ”The chairman wanted you to pass them to the three investors of the project.”
Li Qin Yao stared at the envelope for a while and nodded. ”Sure. Thank you, Liang Sheng.”
Liang Sheng nodded. Then he left the office to hurry with the preparation of the meeting.
Not too long after Liang Sheng had left, Xiao Lian Yi knocked on her door to announced that the preparation was completed and the meeting will be starting soon.
Li Qin Yao nodded before she asked, ”Is Director Zhang here yet?”
Xiao Lian Yi shook her head. ”I don't think he's here yet.”
Li Qin Yao sent Xiao Lian Yi into the meeting room and told her to let Liang Sheng handle the meeting and she will be there soon once Director Zhang has arrived. Then, she walked to the entrance, took out her phone, and dialed Zhang Yu Han's number.
The phone was connected after one ring.
Li Qin Yao pressed the phone to her ear and spoke in a lower voice, ”Zhang Yu Han. Where are you? Are you coming?”
”I'm here.”
Li Qin Yao turned to the glass door and saw her boyfriend walked towards the door. Once their gaze met, Zhang Yu Han hastened his speed to reach to her side.
”Sorry. I'm late,” Zhang Yu Han smiled apologetically.
”What's wrong? Was the traffic bad?”
