Since she would have to suffer, then, why should she start and get into this trouble? She was too lazy for that.

What Han Yue Xiu was looking for in a relationship was someone who could give her assurance. Song Yi was not someone who could give her what she wanted.

”Anyway,” Han Yue Xiu said after a while. ”I've already reported to the guards to tighten their security around the building.” She shivered as she recalled how she had to drive Song Yi away from her place. ”I don't know what that guy was planning to do, but I think I won't be seeing him around the apartment again. As long as I stayed in the apartment, I won't be seeing him again, right?”

Just as the two friends continued to chat, Li Qin Yao looked up when she caught her mother standing at the door. She chatted with her friend for a while and the two bid their goodbye. When Li Qin Yao hung up her phone, her mother was seated at her bed as she looked at the stuff in her luggage.

”Is everything alright with Yue Xiu?” Xu Yilan asked as she looked up.

”Hmm… Yue Xiu will be fine. She should know how to deal with her trouble.”

Xu Yilan nodded. ”Have you packed up everything you need?”

”I have,” Li Qin Yao went over to her mother and wrapped her arms around her mother's shoulder, giving her mother a back hug. ”You just returned from outstation two days ago, and now I will be leaving for a few days. Ma, I feel like I haven't spent much time with you recently. How about you come along with me to L City as well.”

”If I come along with you as well, then who was going to finish writing my report?” Xu Yilan let out a soft laugh. She peeled off her daughter's arms around her shoulder and pulled her to sit next to her. ”Besides, I don't want to be a light bulb.”

Li Qin Yao froze. ”What light bulb? Ma, his sister, and grandfather will be going as well. Besides, I'm going over for work, alright.”

Xu Yilan smiled. ”Zhang Yu Han is that man that I saw the last time?”

”Un.” Li Qin Yao nodded.

”Is he treating you well?”

Li Qin Yao nodded again.

”Actually, I rather you to be with someone ordinary,” Xu Yilan said. She continued to stare at her daughter's face and continued. ”But, as long as he's treating you well and you're happy, then I'll be relieved.”

Xu Yilan thought about her daughter's ex-boyfriend. Because Chen Hao was someone ordinary, Xu Yilan was satisfied with him. But who knows that the man's family would look down on her daughter's status and Chen Hao was not brave enough to protect her Yao Yao.

Actually, Xu Yilan was afraid that if her daughter was involved with someone in high status, the man's family would look down on her Yao Yao. Especially because of that scandal from two years ago.

Although her daughter was innocent, she did not want Yao Yao to be bullied because of it.

But it seemed that this new man that her daughter was seeing has been treating her very well. From what she had heard, even his family did not mind her Yao Yao's background or that scandal.

”Well, you tell that Zhang Yu Han to come over a bit earlier to pick you up,” Xu Yilan said. ”Since he's dating my daughter, I have to get to know him a little bit. At least, if he kidnapped you away, I would know who I should look for.”
