Chapter 87 - Not An Employee (1/2)
It was around lunch hour when Li Qin Yao received a call from Yin Mei Xuan that someone came over to her cafe and looked for trouble. Li Qin Yao was in the other office, to discuss the amendments needed to be made before QL Property and Zhang Worldwide could sign an agreement which was supposed to be next week.
Initially, Li Qin Yao wanted to let Qing Kong resolve the matter for her. However, when she had heard who were the people that had come to her cafe, Li Qin Yao changed her mind. She gave a few instructions to Liang Sheng and dashed off to Lilium Cafe.
Fortunately, her cafe and the new branch office was not too far away. It only took her around five minutes to arrive after she jogged around. As Li Qin Yao approached the cafe, she peeked through the window glass and saw the two women, talking to her manager with anger on their faces.
Because it was the lunch hour, her cafe was almost a full house. Her customers should be enjoying their lunch in peace, but everything was ruined by the presence of those two women. Because of those two shoutings and yelling, the atmosphere was destroyed, and the customers had a displeased expression on their faces.
Li Qin Yao immediately pushed the door open and rushed in. She was afraid that if she did not stop those two women, they would ruin her's and her cafe's reputation.
Yin Mei Xuan was the first to notice their boss's arrival. Both Mother Chen and Tang Ai Ling had their back facing her, therefore, the two of them did not notice Li Qin Yao's appearance. Yin Mei Xuan was about to call out her name but stopped when she saw Li Qin Yao placing a finger on her lips, signaling her not to say anything. Qing Kong nodded once and let the elderly woman continue to shout.
”Are you still not going to call that woman here? Why are you still protecting her? She's merely an employee here. Was it worth it to protect an employee like her to this extent?” Mother Chen continued to yell at Qing Kong, while the latter tried to calm the situation.
”Madame, please calm down or else we will need to call the police.” Qing Kong said.
”You dare to call the police? Go on! Do you think I would be afraid? We'll see which side the police are going to take,” Mother Chen snickered.
Meanwhile, Tang Ai Ling beside her stood obediently beside Mother Chen. If others looked at them, it would appear as if Tang Ai Ling was trying to calm Mother Chen.
However, Li Qin Yao knew best what she was trying to do. Although she had never faced such a situation before, it doesn't mean that she was an idiot.
It was not hard to guess why Mother Chen and Tang Ai Ling had appeared at her cafe again. It was only yesterday that she had bumped into Chen Hao and Tang Ai Ling. When Tang Ai Ling had left, she had a disdain look on her face because Chen Hao had scolded her for saying things to her.
Li Qin Yao had expected that Tang Ai Ling would definitely come to find her and look for trouble. It was just that… Li Qin Yao did not expect that this girl would come over so soon.
Seeing that Mother Chen was about to get physical at her staff, Li Qin Yao finally stepped up. ”Madam Chen, may I know why do you come to look for trouble here?”
Mother Chen and Tang Ai Ling turned around simultaneously. Once they saw that Li Qin Yao had appeared, Mother Chen's face turned several shades darker and Tang Ai Ling appeared as if she was wronged.
”You dare to show up now!” Mother Chen approached Li Qin Yao. She raised her hand to slap the girl in front of her, but Li Qin Yao was fast enough to take a step back.
In the end, Mother Chen only slapped the air. Seeing that she could not hit Li Qin Yao, Mother Chen was infuriated.
”You dare to evade me?”
Li Qin Yao let out a chuckle. ”Then, should I let you slap me? Why? Do I look like an idiot?”
Mother Chen clenched her hands into fists before she turned to Qing Kong. ”You see! This is the attitude of your employee here. Why do you still hire someone like her? Are you not afraid that you will ruin your cafe's reputation? Your employee here dared to seduce others' fiancee!”
