Chapter 39 - Treat It As A Mini-vacation (2/2)
Zhang Jing took the first stack of the paper and handed the rest to his assistant.
”Chairman Zhang, why do you need me to look for this lady's information?” A thought crossed his mind, and Assistant Huo's face turned slightly pale.
The Chairman's wife, the Old Madam Zhang, had passed away for years. Since the Chairman had asked him to look into another woman's information, Assistant Huo started to think that perhaps, Chairman Zhang was looking to get married again. Although he knew that Chairman Zhang was a bit eccentric, it couldn't be that he was interested in young girls, right?
But these girls were so young that they were qualified to be his granddaughters! It couldn't be that Chairman Zhang was planning to rob the cradle, right?
Assistant Huo shivered at the thought.
”What are you thinking?” he noticed the assistant's strange behavior and had a premonition.
Assistant Huo jolted at his employer's sudden question. He immediately shook his head and said, ”No. Nothing.”
Zhang Jing lifted the photo to his assistant and asked, ”Do you think she would look good for Yu Han?”
”Chairman Zhang, you asked me to look into this lady because you're looking for a granddaughter-in-law?”
”Otherwise?” Zhang Jing raised a brow. He looked at his assistant with a warning gaze.
”I thought you were looking to find a new assistant to replace me,” Assistant Huo quickly find an excuse and laughed nervously.
Fortunately, he did not say out his thought loudly. Otherwise, the Chairman would probably instruct him not to show up to work tomorrow. He might really be replaced!
Zhang Jing decided to ignore his assistant and continue to browse through the documents. His eyes stopped as he reached the middle of the page.
QL Property Group? So this girl was the granddaughter of that old man, Li Ren Xin?
To like a missus of the Li family from the Capital City… It seemed like his grandson's taste was not that ordinary.
…
After spending her hours catching up with her sleep, Li Qin Yao finally woke up with a refreshed look on her face. The first thing she did was to call the nurse to check on her condition. Although the nurse thought that her condition was good enough, she still could not be discharged until the doctor who was in charge of her would inspect her condition the next morning.
Li Qin Yao patted her hungry stomach.
The last meal she had was a bowl of porridge that Zhang Yu Han had bought for her. After a long sleep, her stomach started to rumble again.
Because Han Yue Xiu was busy with her work, she could not come and buy her food. In the end, with the nurse's permission, Li Qin Yao decided to head downstairs and find a place to eat.
As soon as she arrived at the small cafe, Li Qin Yao noticed a familiar man. Before she could react, the older man had seen her. In the end, Li Qin Yao had no other choice, but to came forward and greeted him. ”Grandfather, what are you doing here?”
