Chapter 38 - Why Is It Him Again? (1/2)

The two of them walked over to the doctor's office. Once they arrived, Zhang Jing knocked on the door. Once the person inside permitted him to enter, Zhang Jing turned the knob and paused. He looked at his grandson and frowned.

”Why are you following me?” Zhang Jing asked.

His grandfather's question made Zhang Yu Han frowned. ”Of course, it's to accompany you inside.”

”I'm not three. Why do you need to come in with me?” Zhang Jing said.

”What's wrong? Don't I always accompany you during your check-up with Doctor Xia?”

Zhang Jing felt the corner of his mouth started to twitch. He wanted to get rid of his grandson, but he did not know how. ”No. This time, you sit outside. I have something I need to speak privately with that old man.”

The frown on Zhang Yu Han's face deepened. He was about to refute, but once a thought crossed his mind, Zhang Yu Han decided to gave in. ”Fine. I'll wait for you outside. When you're done, just give me a call. I'll come back to you.”

Seeing how his grandson giving in too quick, a suspicion rose up to Zhang Jing's heart. He grabbed Zhang Yu Han's sleeve before his grandson could walk away. ”Where are you going?”

Zhang Yu Han watched his grandfather, speechlessly. ”Didn't you ask me to stay away? In the end, did you want me to stay or go?”

After a few seconds of weighing his options, Zhang Jing waved his hand to his grandson. ”Go. Go.” Then, he pushed the door and entered.

Zhang Yu Han chuckled as he watched his grandfather's figure disappear behind the door. Soon, he walked over the counter and told a nurse to keep an eye on his grandfather. Then, Zhang Yu Han walked towards the lobby. He looked at the hospital directory and frowned.

It seemed that this hospital was quite big.

With his skills, charisma, and good looking face, it was not hard for Zhang Yu Han to find out where Li Qin Yao was warded and why she had to be hospitalized. Since his grandfather's check-up has not ended, Zhang Yu Han went downstairs and bought some porridge. Then, he entered the elevator and pushed a button.

The nurse at the station immediately told him where Li Qin Yao was warded. Zhang Yu Han knocked on the door softly and waited outside until the person inside said that he could come in.

Li Qin Yao was texting Mei Xuan to inform her that she won't be able to come to work when she heard the knock.

”Come in,” Li Qin Yao said lazily. She had thought that it was one of the nurses who came to check in with her. Once she saw that it was Zhang Yu Han, her eyes widened with surprise. ”Mister Zhang, how come it's you?”

Li Qin Yao could only stare at him with disbelief. Why is it him again? It cannot be that he was stalking her, right?

”You were hospitalized. Since we met earlier downstairs, I thought that it would be inappropriate if I did not come to visit you,” Zhang Yu Han said. He had thought of hundreds of excuses he could use if Li Qin Yao asked and finally decided to use this polite excuse.

”Thank you,” Li Qin Yao forced a smile.
