Chapter 17 - I Am Confident (1/2)

After Zhang Yu Han escaped from his friend's party, he went straight to The Orchid, a luxury hotel under Zhang Group Worldwide. When he arrived, a middle-aged man clad in a gray suit was waiting at the entrance.

Zhang Yu Han nodded towards the middle-aged man and spoke, ”Assistant Huo, where is my grandfather?”

”Chairman Zhang is waiting for you inside,” Assistant Huo spoke politely before he ushered Zhang Yu Han in.

Zhang Yu Han entered the hotel and walked towards the center of the lobby where an elder man dressed neatly in suit and tie stood. The older man held a walking cane as he looked at the empty surrounding.

Zhang Yu Han bowed as he approached the older man. ”Grandfather.”

Zhang Jing turned around with a frown as he saw his grandson. ”You brat! You're late.”

”I'm sorry,” Zhang Yu Han apologies and coaxed his grandfather to forgive him. ”I went to visit Wei Jun Hao before I came.”

The older man cleared his throat before he spoke again. ”I haven't seen that kid for a while. What is he up to now?” Zhang Jing had watched his grandson grew up before him, and naturally, he knew Zhang Yu Han's friends. Wei Jun Hao was the closest to him as they both from the same class and had joined the same club.

”He's doing alright. He's throwing a party today,” Zhang Yu Han said.

Zhang Jing studied his grandson's expression. ”Why didn't you stay at his party?”

”It's fine. It's enough that I showed up and showed my face. After all, Jun Hao only threw the party to pick up girls.” Zhang Yu Han said.

What he didn't tell his grandfather was that Jun Hao threw the party for him to meet up with the girl he liked. If his grandfather knew, he would probably ask questions he did not know to answer.

”Besides,” Zhang Yu Han continued. ”Didn't I promise that I will have dinner with you tonight?” His lips curved into a smile. Then, he lifted his head to look at his surrounding. ”What do you think? It looks nice, right?”

Zhang Jing followed his grandson's line vision and nodded. ”The interior isn't that bad. I do like the small changes you made.”
