Chapter 10 - Made A Wrong Move (1/2)
On the center of the basketball court, Zhang Yu Han clad in a hooded sweatshirt and training shorts from a well-known luxury brand and a ball in his hand. He dropped the ball on the floor and started dribbling from side to side. After a while, he shot the ball into the basket and scored.
There was a clapping sound coming from behind him. He did not realize that someone has been observing him for a while.
Zhang Yu Han turned around to see his friend, Wei Jun Hao watching him with admiration. Zhang Yu Han fetched the ball and threw it to his friend, and his friend caught the ball with ease.
”I see that your skill has not deteriorated even after you stopped playing for years.” Wei Jun Hao threw the ball back and took off his jacket.
Zhang Yu Han stared at his friend with discontent. ”Who said I have stopped playing for years? Just because I haven't been playing in a competition, it doesn't mean that I have stopped playing altogether.”
Wei Jun Hao let out a low laugh. ”It seems that I have made an unnecessary move inviting you to this game.”
Zhang Yu Han threw the ball back at his friend. ”Quit talking. Are we playing or not?”
Two days ago, Zhan Yu Han had given him a call early in the morning to investigate a person. Wei Jun Hao only received the result of the investigation this afternoon.
Once he read the investigation report, he gave Yu Han a call and told him that he would only reveal the investigation result if Zhang Yu Han could beat him in a basketball game.
Wei Jun Hao thought that since his friend had not been playing basketball for years, he could trounce him. Then, he would trick his friend into owing him another favor in exchange for the information in his hand.
It seemed that he had made a wrong move.
Wei Jun Hao clicked his tongue and succumbed to his fate. Then, he started dribbling the ball in his hand.
The sound of their basketball shoes squeaking and ball, bouncing on the floor resounded as the two friends played a one-on-one match. The game lasted for almost half an hour, and they started to slow down.
”Young Master Zhang,” Wei Jun Hao panted as he faced his friend who was now holding the ball. He grimaced as he saw how Yu Han was not as tired as he was. ”Give me a chance, alright?”
”Look at you. It seems that it's your skills that have deteriorated. How long have you not been playing?”
”Captain! It was my fault! Spare me, alright? Give me a chance to score at least once!”
They have been playing for a while. At this time, Wei Jun Hao had not scored once. His face reddened from embarrassment.
Wei Jun Hao's eyes widened with delight when he saw Zhang Yu Han made an abrupt stop. He thought that his friend had decided to give him a chance. With a smile on his face, he tried to snatch the ball from Zhang Yu Han's hand.
Before Jun Hao could snatch the ball away, Zhang Yu Han jumped up, threw the ball into the basket, and scored.
Wei Jun Hao watched his friend with a stupefy. When he snapped out of his trance, he turned around and saw Zhang Yu Han heading towards the bench on the side of the court.
