Medissa had a flashback...it was like she was seeing everything coming back...her life started her daughter was born... but when she was pregnant the father didn't want anything to do with her and left her...her parents felt ashamed as an unmarried woman having a child while still being a teen and abandon her...
After Medissa gave birth to her daughter Diana, she knew that she needed more support on raising her. She started dating with an exorcist of the Abbey, and eventually got engaged with him. Diana, misinterpreting her mother's actions, became jealous of Medissa's fiancée and thought she stopped loving her. As soon as Diana's emotions of jealousy and anger (and likely of betrayal) started to overwhelm her, she transformed into a daemon and was soon killed by Medissa's fiancée. Enraged at this, Medissa lashed out in resentment and killed her daughter's murderer.
Despite her resentment toward the Abbey over the death of her daughter, she eventually sides with them in order to prevent cases such as hers from ever happening again. Being receptive to Innominat's power, she becomes a therion
She is sealed but then...one day receives a paper from a rogue exorcist Oscar...
He handed her all the papers of what really happens...It was a setup...her whole relationship was a setup. The fiancee job was to manipulate her daughter. he would constantly say things like its because she doesn't love you. stirring up her daughter's emotion...manipulating her breaking her emotion...until Diana broke and transformed...
The fiancee job was to be a martyr and make sure he killed her daughter in front of her...influencing her...making her kill him...then the Abby would whisper sweet talks to her and use her as a pawn...

Suddenly there is a big crash and three people come through the rocks
Tenchi: hah...I could have sworn I smelled treasure...
Velvet: why are we looking for treasure when Aurtorious is so close
Tenchi: A pirate always takes big scores. He takes no matter what...huh what's going on here...look Velvet looks like a party...
