“You’d better not go.”

“Hey, you can’t do that. We’ve signed the agreement, and tasks have been assigned. You two look like you know each other, so that’s even better. You can take care of each other,” Shang Yu said.

Xing Baobao looked at Ye Tianyi and said softly, “I want to go.”

Ye Tianyi sighed.

“Alright.”

Ye Tianyi glanced over at the seven people. They looked ordinary, but there was one guy with tanned skin that looked rather handsome. Ye Tianyi paid particular attention to the man, who was a few years older than him. There was something extraordinary in his eyes.

“Let’s get into the car first. We’ll introduce ourselves on the way there.”

Shang Yu drove a medium-sized bus over and everyone got onto the bus. They proceeded toward the outskirts of Tensui Sacred City.

The Thousand-Beast Forest was situated right outside of the Tensui Empire. Shang Yu would not have accepted the business deal otherwise. It took about four hours to get from Tensui Sacred City to the Tensui Empire and another hour to get to the Thousand-Beast forest.

Ye Tianyi sat with Xing Baobao, who was seated next to the window, blushing slightly. She did not dare to look at Ye Tianyi.

Ye Tianyi thought it was weird. It was his fault, but why was she acting like it was hers?

“Hey, Ye Tianyi. Are you the scumbag from the Tensui Sacred City rumor? Hahaha!” Zhang Chao teased and could not help but laugh.

“Zhang Chao, you don’t understand. Look how close Ye Tianyi and this beautiful girl is. If he was the scumbag, this beautiful girl wouldn’t have befriended him, right?” another young person said to Ye Tianyi, smiling.

Ye Tianyi rubbed his nose and nodded awkwardly.

“I’ll say. That Ye Tianyi is really something. He had the audacity to rape the granddaughter of the Tenseng Academy headmaster. Though everyone is roasting him, it’s not something an ordinary person could do,” Shang Yu said while driving.

“Yeah. He’s quite the legend in Tensui Sacred City.”

These people kept circulating around this particular topic. Ye Tianyi and Xing Baobao felt extremely awkward.

“Baobao, didn’t you tell your grandfather?”

Ye Tianyi turned to look at Xing Baobao.

Xing Baobao lowered her gaze and shook her head slightly.

“Of course. If your grandfather knew, he wouldn’t have allowed you to go to the Thousand-Beast Forest.” Ye Tianyi shook his head, too.

“Brother Ye, the Thousand-Beast Forest is not that scary. I’ve been there twice, and this will be my third. I, the little Bright Aperture stage attainer, am still alive,” Wang wen laughed and said.

Ye Tianyi nodded and smiled, “You’re amazing.”

“I’m not that amazing. It’s just that the Thousand-Beast Forest is too big. There are many demon beasts, but if we stay on the outskirts, it lessens our chances of coming across any great demon beasts.”

Ye Tianyi didn’t feel like talking to them because Xing Baobao was here.

“Just follow me when we get there,” Ye Tianyi told Xing Baobao.

“Brother Tianyi, why are you going there?” Xing Baobao asked Ye Tianyi softly after finally mustering up the courage to ask.

She was usually an outstanding person, but she felt self-conscious in front of Ye Tianyi. Perhaps Ye Tianyi was too handsome, or maybe people who have developed feelings for another would always feel self-conscious in front of them.

Xing Baobao knew Ye Tianyi was a scumbag, but she did not care. It was far too dangerous for Ye Tianyi to go to the Thousand-Beast Forest.

“I’m here with you because I want to protect you.”

Ye Tianyi grinned.
