Chapter 45: Variety Show Debut

Wu Lei could not help but chortle. “Why did you apply makeup remover on your face if you didn’t have any make-up on?” he asked.

“But Teacher Wu, weren’t you the one who instructed me to do so?” An Wen could not fathom why Wu Lei was laughing at her.

“There’s still some cleansing foam on your face, hurry and wash it off,” Wu Lei tried to stifle a laugh.

An Wen did as she was told. Her brows and a few loose strands of hair resting on her hairline became wet from when she splashed water on her face. Not only did her skin look hydrated and lovely after that, but her fluttering eyelashes and glistening eyes also perfectly presented her innocent good looks in their purest form.

“The condition of your skin is impeccable. I really thought you had some makeup on earlier,” exclaimed the man.

An Wen returned his compliment with a smile before replying, “Perhaps it’s because I don’t usually stay up late.”

Wu Lei gave out a hearty laugh and spoke directly to the camera, “Here you go, ladies and gentlemen, going to bed early gives you perfect skin like An Wen’s.”

The two of them exchanged a few more words before heading toward the filming studio.

The recording started with Wu Lei giving the audience an introduction to the show. “This show is sponsored by the Tumei App, helping everyone to be their prettiest selves. Good evening, and thanks for tuning in to My Desired Prince,” said Wu Lei, while the four other male guests stood on his sides.

The four of them made a heart gesture toward the camera at the same time. Then, Wu Lei said to them, “Alright, let’s sit down and have a chat.”

Wu Lei sat down on the sofa positioned in the middle of the room. Two of the male guests sat on the seat to the left of Wu Lei, while the other two sat to his right.

“This is already the eighth episode of our show. Up until now, it’s Li Yuebin, Bin Bin, who has received the most number of My Desired badges.”

The five of them gave a round of applause.

“I’m telling you now, our princess for today’s episode is a great beauty. I believe she’s able to make all of you go crazy,” teased the host.

All four of the male guests bubbled over with excitement. “Teacher Wu, it’s not fair that you get to know the identity of the princess before us in every episode,” Zhuo Shaoyuan said enviously.
