Lu Maner sneered before walking away. Her upper lip curled in disdain.

“An Wen, she’s a terrible person. She’ll harbor grudges if you continue speaking to her like that,” Assistant Jiang reminded politely.

“She’s never been kind to me since day one and I’m sure she would eat me alive if she had it her way,” replied An Wen.

Assistant Jiang nodded in all seriousness as she was reminded about today’s incident. She made a mental note to categorize Lu Maner as “Dangerous”.

Due to today’s difficult shooting conditions, it was already past midnight when Ye Qiaofeng sent everyone home. An Wen leaned against Jiang Shiyu while waiting for her ride.

When the driver arrived, he panicked and rushed over to help An Wen into the car because he thought she was drunk.

“What happened to you, miss?”

“It’s nothing.” An Wen rose to her feet and entered the vehicle. “Come on in,” she called out to Jiang Shiyu when she noticed the latter was waving goodbye.

This summer was hot as usual. Everyone was dying to remove those extra layers of costume that were trapping in the unnecessary heat, hence they pushed themselves to work harder.

Female actors were fortunate to be dressed in thin, white costumes; whereas male actors were all drenched in their own sweat underneath the layers. They could hardly wait to roll up the sleeves once a scene was finished.
