“You can call me if you can’t handle it on your own,” he replied indifferently.

“Okay. Nothing in Di City will be too much for me to handle when I can rely on a savior like you. Don’t worry,” An Wen smiled and said.

He did not say anything else. When Chu Qichen looked through the rearview mirror again, he realized that she had been stupidly sneaking glances at him all along.

The older man always had the impression that An Wen was an introverted person who always lowered her head and spoke softly. Hence, he always spoke to her in a soft and gentle tone because he was afraid of scaring her. However, this was not the case anymore. It seemed that she had changed greatly.

Strangely, it felt as though his own daughter had grown up.

“Girls should always be more cheerful,” Chu Qichen said out of the blue.

An Wen nodded as though she was receiving a lesson. After that, the atmosphere in the car turned silent again.

Aunt Liu had already prepared their lunch when they reached the villa. There was a delighted look on her face when she saw them entering the house. Aunt Liu said, “Sir, miss, your meal is ready.”

Without hesitation, Chu Qichen removed his shoes at the entrance before he walked to the side of the sofa and took off his suit jacket. The man’s body looked leaner after removing his jacket. An Wen could faintly see the muscles beneath his clothes as the front of his shirt was sticking to his body.

The older man did not seem to have eyebags or dark circles under his eyes. He also had a great physique. She could immediately tell that he was a person who worked and rested at set times. One could also tell that he exercised frequently.

Casually, Chu Qichen placed his jacket on the sofa before he turned around to look behind him. An Wen suddenly noticed that he was glancing at her and realized that she had forgotten to remove her shoes because she was foolishly staring at him. Immediately, An Wen lowered her head and hurriedly took off her shoes before entering the room.

Chu Qichen was already tucking into his meal when An Wen came downstairs after placing her bag down and washed her hands. She sat on the opposite side of him and started eating as well.
