Chapter 123 - Lord Little Blue (1/2)

After a long cold night, the daybreak brought with it a glimmer of warmth. The golden light of the sun softly caressed the forest and ignited the birds into a chorus of melodies.

At this time, Shad stood next to his tent and stared at the sun as its rays were burning his eyes. Nonetheless, he didn't look away. His eyes were glued on the beautiful yellow and red rays of colors that filled the sky.

” It looks so real.” He murmured to himself.

Even with the power of the Eye of the Red Lightning Dragon Emperor, Shad was still unable to prove that the golden ball of light in the sky was an illusion. However, deep down he knew that it wasn't the real sun as he was within the 1st floor of the Great Tower. Yet, it felt so real and warm like the real sun in the outside.

It was the second time that Shad wasn't able to see through something with his Eye power. The first time was when he came very close to the Great Tower, he tried to use his eye power to see whether he could see through the wall, yet, his vision and power was blocked by an unknown force. When he tried harder, he felt as though his right eye was being stabbed by a thousand needles. If he didn't stop trying, he's afraid that he would have damaged his right eye. And now again, he's looking at a fake sun in the sky which was clearly an illusion but couldn't prove it with his eye power.

” Just give up maggot, you won't be able to see through it .” While Shad was in a dazed looking at the sun in the sky and trying to see whether he could see through it with his eye power, he suddenly heard a loud and rude voice behind his back. That voice was filled with contempt and seemed as though the owner of that voice was a supreme being that was above trillions of people.

As soon as Shad heard that voice, he suddenly became alert and looked around to see where that voice came from. Furthermore, he didn't recognize that voice. It was his first time hearing that voice. Moreover, from all the people that came with him in the Tower, none of them was crazy enough or had the capability to call him a maggot, except for his big sister. However, no matter how hard he looked, he couldn't find the owner of that voice.

” Looked down you maggot.” The voice rang out again, but this time, with a hint of anger.

Shad who was looking around slowly looked down. And as soon as he did and saw the owner of that voice, he froze instantly because the owner of that voice was none other than that greedy blue thunder wolf who looked like a small winged blue cat.

That Danm blue thunder wolf knew how to talk! An 8th rank thunder wolf knew how to speak?

An ordinary magical beast could only transform into human form after breaking through the 10th rank and reaching the spirit beast rank. Only then they could speak in human tongue. Some beast with rare bloodlines and strong amounts of potential strength would have great difficulty in transforming into a human form such as a dragon. Usually, those beasts would need to reach the Saint beast rank before they could even transform into a human form. No matter what the situation was, the spirit beast or the 10th rank was the bottom line.

There's never been a beast below the 10th rank or the spirit beast rank that could talk in human tongue, yet that small blue wolf in front of him who was clearly an 8th rank beast was speaking in human tongue. So, it was no wonder that Shad was surprised.

” This is the apex of mastery over illusions, reality. With one thought, one could create illusions that are as real as reality itself. This sun you are staring at is one example of it, Even a God-king wouldn't be able to tell this level of illusions apart from reality, let alone a puny human mortal such as you.” Said the small blue wolf with a hint of contempt in his voice.
