Chapter 118 - Crossing The Endless Mist (Final Part) (1/2)

While the four novas were going through a life and death battle, Shad had already leisurely left and continued onward in the direction of the Great Tower along with his group of people.

Earlier, even after the four magical beasts were engaging in a bloody battle against the group humans, the Blue Thunder Wolf didn't even bother to attack Shad and his group. It didn't even look at the people that were behind Shad such as Gomez, and the four generals of the Lightning Corps that were armed to the teeth and waiting for a chance to attack, instead, It eyes were locked onto Shad.

There wasn't a hint of killing intent in his eyes but confusion and doubt. It suddenly looked back at the direction fo the Great Tower and sniffed it with its nose and then did the same as it shifted its gaze onto Shad. The Blue Thunder Wolf was staring at Shad with its enormous head, filled with questions.

However, even though the Blue Thunder Wolf was not paying attention to them or even took the initiative to attack them, just glancing at it was enough to cause chills to run down Mark and the others' spine. It was as if their blood had stopped circulating, as of they had been frozen solid by a bone biting shill.

Especially Gomez, after sensing the beast, he had immediately guessed the true strength of the Blue Thunder Wolf, a peak 8th rank magical beast.

A peak 8th rank magical beast was comparable in strength with an early 9th rank warrior, powerful enough to squash the lives of anyone here.

Including Gomez himself!

How could he not be terrified?

As for Shad, he was already in the battle mode as traces of red lightning bolts leaked out from within his body.

”Zzt zzt zzt!”

Bolts of red lightning came out of his body like electrical snakes. They wrapped around his arms and waist like chains and formed layers of flickering lightning barriers. They were meant to protect the vulnerable parts of his body.

Shad knew that the Blue Thunder Wolf was a very powerful magical beast, possibly the strongest opponent he had faced so far, so he didn't dare to let his guard down.

However, after making his preparation and waiting for the Blue Thunder Wolf to make his move, Shad was surprised to see that the BlueThunder Wolf was just looking at him with a look of confusion on its face. Not only that, there wasn't a hint of killing intent in its eyes. It wasn't licking its knife-like sharp teeth, with a cruel, bloodthirsty aura emanating out from his eyes like the Golden Lion. It only looked confused as it was looking at Shad. Furthermore, The Thunder Wolf had even sniffed him from the distance than the direction Great Tower.

After a while, All the members of the Lightning Corps grasped tightly on their weapons with a solemn expression on their faces and ready to attack as they watched the Blue Thunder Wolf pad over to their direction.

” Everyone, don't move! All you don't move.” Shad quickly said as he looked at Mark and the others that were ready to pounce at the Thunder Wolf that was getting closer to them and was walking straight towards him.
