Chapter 90 - A Glimpse of Ninas Past (1/2)

” I understand now.” Answered Shad with a serious look on his face after listening to Nina long story.

” I have never thought that you were one of a descendant of the legendary man known as Henry, so can you really read that book he left behind.” He continued.

” No, only my sister might be able to read it. Unlike me, my sister showed no interest in magic or martial art despite having an Indigo grade level of innate talent. She mostly devoted her life to the exploration of historical remains and learning all kind of ancient languages. Furthermore, there was a book that has been passed down from generation to generation to my family that contained many words and their meaning in our language which could have helped you, unfortunately, we had lost this book as well.” She calmly answered, her expression was as cold as ice as always.

' That book was probably some sort of dictionary made by Henry' Thought Shad.

” Where is your sister then?” He asked.

Shad was not asking for her sister because she wanted to use her to translate that book just like the others as he was able to do that by himself. He just wanted to make sure whether it was her that started that rumor or someone else.

” She was taken, most likely by the people that were trying to decipher the content of that book as well.” As she said that, her body was emanating a thick killing intent.

” Ohh, I am sorry to hear that. Did you look for her?” Shad said with an apologetic look on his face.

At this moment, Shad had the feeling that Nina's sister was probably kidnapped by the same person that leaked the information about the treasure left behind by Henry in the Black Mist Forest. If what Nina said was true and her sister was able to read that book, then it was safe to assume that she had already translated the whole content of that book to that person that was holding her captive.

However, one thing was bothering him, why would that person leaked that sensitive and precious information to the public instead of looking for that treasure by himself in secret. It did not make sense at all. Unless there was someone else that able to read it aside from Nina's sister and himslef.

” That's what I'm doing which lead me to this forest.” She coldly answered.

Indeed, the Black Mist forest was the only real clue or place to start looking for her sister. Whoever started that rumor probably had her sister as well so it was understandable for her to come here. If he she could catch one of these people, she might have a chance of getting the information about her sister's whereabout from them.

” Do you have an idea who the people that kidnap your sister might be.”
