Chapter 72 - The Sudden Increased In Strength (1/2)

Listening to the voice of the 4th imperial prince behind his back, pure terror surged through Amadiel's veins. The voice of the 4th imperial prince was like an icy dagger that slowly pierced straight into his heart.

Amadiel felt as though the shadow of death loomed over his head. He wanted to run but couldn't as all of his muscles were frozen just from his voice.

The shadow behind him was suffocating to the point that he couldn't breathe. It was as though he was being held underwater, gasping for air.

For the first time in his life, Amadiel knew what true terror felt like. He was paralyzed in fear, his brain froze, offering no course of action for his now trembling and terrorized limbs to take.

He screamed for help but no sound came out of his mouth. His unblinking eyes popped like a fashioned toy doll as a bead of cold sweat dripped down his back.

At this moment, he felt as though an eternity had passed as the gate of the underworld has opened behind him. He could even feel the mouth of death licking at his skin.

” Devouring Lightning Chains.”

As soon as those three words came out from Shad's mouth, a powerful magic disturbance could be felt in the atmosphere as multiple red lightning bolts came out from the crimson magic circle that appeared behind Amadiel. They twined together as they formed multiple thick red lightning chains which coiled around Amadiel's body like snakes.

~Bzzt....bzzt~

Sparks flew madly on the surface of the red lightning chains as they wrapped around Amadiel's body, chained him down from head to toe. At this moment, his body was like a giant red lightning cocoon.

~Ahhh....Ahhhh~

In the meantime, the heart-wrenching scream of Amadiel could be heard from inside the red lightning cocoon formed by the red lightning chains as a smell of the char or a body being burnt was eminating from within it.

” This....this....this...”

Just at this time, Chris's face was pale as paper. His mouth could not stop shaking as he was watching his friend being cooked by electricity. The smoke smell drifted from the cocoon as strongly as incense sticks. The smell was so bad that it felt like someone had put a piece of coal into his lungs.

” You bastard, I will kill you,” Yelled Chris as he pounced towards Shad with his long sword.

If it wasn't for Amadiel earlier, he would have died miserably in the hands of that little devil. However, his good friend Amadiel was being killed slowly and painfully by that bastard, and he was unable to do anything about it. The casting speed of his magic spell was so fast that he didn't even have any time to react not to mention Amdadiel who was a mage.

” Take it easy, your time is coming soon,” Shad said with a weird smile on his face as he quickly moved back to evade his incoming attacks.

However, Chris continued to attack Shad crazily while he was evading his attack leisurely. Shad had already controlled the lightning energy within his body which flowed within every cell in his body which in turn increase his speed to a frightening level.

Unlike before, when he was using the white lightning energy, the red lightning energy is more powerful and violent. His speed has increased by at least 20% compared to when he was using the white lightning energy.

Roughly ten seconds later, Amadiel body was completely turned into ashes by the red lightning chains before they dissipated into the air.

Seeing this, Shad was very surprised and shocked by the power of the devouring lightning chains. The devouring lightning chains magic spell was one of the magic spells he had also inherited from the red lightning dragon emperor. It was a spell that allows the caster to chain his opponent with a number of red lightning chains where the electrical potential was large enough to burn the opponent to ashes.

Furthermore, as soon as the red lightning chains came in contact with the opponent or the opponent was chained down, the red lightning chains would drain his or her energy as though he was a battery and use it to further power up itself and increased its power, and it won't dissipate or stop until the opponent turned into ashes.

” The magic spells of red lightning dragon emperor are all demonic,” Shad whispered to himself as he watched the effects of the devouring lightning chains. Not even the bones of Amadiel were left behind after he was chained down by the devouring lightning chains.

” It's time to finish you up, I still have many important things to do. I can't waste my time on you.” As he said that Shad suddenly moved a little further away from his range of attacks.

” Come.”

As Chris realized the sarcasm in Shad's tone, his face turned green in anger. He was an early 6th rank warrior, yet he was being played and treated like a clown by a little kid, who not even bothered to attack him while he was trying so hard to take his life.
