Lu Ting and Lin Yueqi went to a simple and crude public bath to shower. Then they returned to their tent to rest. The two slept on the same bed but each had their own sleeping bags.
After Lin Yueqi snuggled inside the sleeping bag, she took out her phone and video called Tuantuan.
Tuantuan answered and her chubby face appeared on camera. Because of the time difference, it was still afternoon in the country. Tuantuan was eating pulled noodles in the kindergarten’s dining hall.
After the chubby bun slurped the noodles, she said to the camera, “Mommy, did you listen today? Did you anger daddy?”
“No, am I that sort of person?” Lin Yueqi asked, “Sister Tuan, how has your day been at the kindergarten? Did any classmates bully you?”
Little chubby bun shook her head and said, “No. Mommy, let me tell you something. A new classmate transferred over. Who do you think it is?”
“Who? Your dream lover?”
Little chubby bun pursed her lips and exclaimed, “Mumu isn’t my dream lover. He’s my little brother!”
Lin Yueqi was surprised. She messed with the man sitting in bed and reading a book. “Old Lu, Song Renze also sent his son to Tuantuan’s school. He always wanted Mumu to marry Tuantuan. Say, he wants his son to win at the starting line doesn’t he? So that he could get rid of any love rivals.”
Lu Ting recalled Song Renze as well as his son. He flipped a few pages of his book and hmphed. “That boy isn’t worthy. He’s so simple-minded.”
“…” Lin Yueqi was speechless. “You shouldn’t be talking about the child like that.”
Lu Ting didn’t care about other people’s children nor did he care. But he minded whoever dared to put their eyes on his little chubby girl.
Tuantuan exclaimed “woah” hearing her father’s words. “Daddy, you shouldn’t be talking bad about Mumu. How is Mumu simple-minded?”
Lu Ting felt as if there was a rock inside his chest. He felt really unwell. He grabbed Lin Yueqi’s phone and exclaimed in a serious face, “Daughter, daddy wants you to study and not be disturbed by insignificant people or things. You’re going to become a well-known female businesswoman in the future so don’t be influenced by young attractive men, okay?”
He suddenly felt that it was okay for his daughter to find a stupid boyfriend.
Tuantuan clearly didn’t understand her daddy’s words. She picked up the bowl and started drinking the soup. She finished and placed it down, wiping her mouth and looking satisfied. “Daddy, I understand. Go and sleep with my mommy already! Tuantuan is a mature Tuantuan and knows not to disturb mommy and daddy’s sleep. Sleep soon, good night!”
