273 Thunderstorm (1/2)

Unfortunately, the boss was so scared that it decided to talk. It almost killed me but there's no point of killing it now that a huge storm is coming and we can really use the boss with some related stuff with his superiors.

”Now, talk. We can see that we're just at the first island which is the entrance of your tribe. Last time we haven't really met a lot of your friends when we traveled the sea. Where did you all come from?” Glace asked and I can tell that she wants to secure some intel first before doing something to it.

”KACHAAA! You fool! I won't answer...”

”Are you sure? Because I'll gladly burn you to crisp and feed your ashes to your friends.” I replied and showed him that I'm not joking at all.

”Ack! Fine! We used to live on the main island peacefully because it was a place full of resources we need and that's our homeland but we were driven out of our own land by other humans! That's why I can't forgive you! Our race was almost wiped out and we were forced to live below the sea that we're not used to. To survive, we adapted on how to live in this kind of environment and we learned how to fight for ourselves and as you can see, we used the environment's power to our favor and made it as our weapon but against you humans, our efforts are not good enough.” The boss explained and I can tell that monsters do have reasons too and this time, I'm not someone to judge.

”So, what should we do with this guy now. I can easily end his life if you want me to.” Two teeth said.

”I guess so, I mean we don't need it anymore.” Glace agreed but... is that really necessary?

”What?! No! KACHAAA! Please no!” The boss showed that he's not really liking the idea.

Two Teeth lifted his sword and is now about to cut the boss' head.

”KACHAAAA!”

*CLANG!*

I blocked his attack with my sword before he could cut his head while facing Two Teeth.

”Huh? I'm alive?! KACHAAA!” Then the boss looked at me and I can tell that he was really grateful for what I just did.

”How about this, we help you with your land problems but you'll help us reach the Main Island. I know, I can't really promise that we might be able to retake the land and you don't have that much choice but to gamble with us and if we fail, I'll gladly accept your race to our place and give you a new home.” I guess this is a good deal and there's no way he'll say no unless he wants to get killed here right now.

”Are you serious?! Other guilds are ignoring your guild because your guild is so small that what you're doing isn't really a big impact on their authority. Not to mention, you already have elves living in your guild and now you want to take this? I don't think the other guilds will not stand aside with this.” Glaces replied.

”You don't have the right to talk to him like that. He's our leader and your opinion is appreciated but you're going too far to talk to him like that.” Elou stepped up.

”Elou, calm down.” Akko's trying to calm Elou down.

”Hmp...” Lili just pouted but I can tell that she's not also good with how Glace talks to me but she has a point and I can't just ignore that. (In reality, she doesn't really care)

”I understand your concern Glace but if we really want to complete our mission, we need every hand we could get even if it's from someone we don't know or from an enemy. And it's not just ”your guild” but ”our guild”, you're already a part of Life Guild and you are now one of our comrades. If the other guilds don't like my ideas then they can suck it up. If I have to fight all of them, I'll gladly accept their challenge.” I replied and I saw that her expression lighten up a bit now.

”F...fine... do what you want.” She replied. Oh well, girls.

”So what do you think? Are you going to help us? If you say no, we won't stop you from your decision and let you go back to your friends but the next time we meet again, I'll end your life and erase your entire race from this world.” I replied and showed him a smile he would never forget.

”Coming from someone who almost died from my attacks, huh. The humans on the Main Island is on a different level and I don't think that you have the ability to defeat them. You killed half of my army and I know they now despise you for what you did. You're naive but...” It paused and looked at me.

”But... a man like you is worth the shot. I and my friends from this island will help you but I'm the weakest of all the leaders of our race and convincing the others will be a different matter.” It replied and I might be wrong with my decision but I need to risk.

”I never thought that your race will listen to me but you did. Maybe we could really work out our little alliance. Can I really trust your words?” I asked.
