263 A Place of Memory (1/2)
-Bus Station-
*Akko's POV*
After my embarrassing confession, I feel relieved and kinda sad because I thought that he won't reject me for the reason that I've been with him since the day we played the game. It's not really that long but it felt like we've been together for so long. The very first time I saw him, I asked Elou to invite him and I'm not sure why. I don't know what came up to my mind but every time I'm with him, I want to feel his warmth. I want to stay with him for as long as I could.
I wish that I showed him how much he means to me when I had the chance but instead, I listened to my heart telling me to confess to him but I don't regret it because I know that I'm the only one who can love him like this. It's like I'm cursed to love him for the rest of my life.
”Hey, are you ok? The bus is here.” Scy called me as I'm daydreaming again.
”I'm sorry. Wait for me!” I happily said while both of us are getting on the bus.
Yep, it's our first date. Well, technically just a friendly date. I asked him to go out with me but unfortunately, he doesn't want to answer, maybe because he has his reasons and I don't really have the right to ask him about that.
I told him that I will show him that I really like him so I asked him for a friendly date. I know, I'm being too selfish but everyone has their greed and mine is to be with him. Though... I'm not really comfortable taking the bus because it's too crowded right now. It's Valentine's Day today so there's a lot of couples everywhere. I have a car but Scy said that he prefers taking the bus as we can enjoy our time while looking at the scenery... so far, the only beautiful scenery is him.
-The Road to the City-
*Mari's POV*
”Don't freaking lose them, Ethan! That's the bus, that's the bus! Are you blind?! Faster!” This girl, if I'm not wrong, is Lili and she's way too loud unlike in the game! Is this really her?
”Don't shout, Lili! I'm doing my best! I'm not used to driving so taking it slow is safer for everyone.” Ethan... or should I say Elou is driving and getting annoyed of Lili's nagging...
I've met both of them earlier while I and Azzie were tailing my brother because it's way too dangerous to go outside alone after the incident from our previous home. I don't know why other familiar faces are here with us, though... Elou said that they're having siblings date or some kind and it was just a fun coincidence but I doubt it. I just can't believe Bro is dating somebody without telling me! I'm supposed to be the one who's having a date with him!
”We should have used my Limo... this car is way too narrow for all of us!” Petula, the girl who organized the party from the second previous boo... I mean the rich girl.
”Settle down, Sis. A limo would just catch others attention and it might blow our cover.” The blind girl, Chara is here too with her sister Petula...
”Oh sh*t!* And Aurora just yelled out of nowhere again. She's with us too...
”What now Sis...” And her Sister, Zia is also here... She's not ill but she can't walk. Thankfully, Aurora's strong so she carries her around when she needs to.
”There's another pizza shop! Can we stop for a bit to order?” I've lost count of how many times she asked that question...
”I'm thankful that I'm surrounded by cute girls but I swear to God, if you guys don't settle down, I will kick you out of the car and go home!” Elou's getting pissed as it's really noisy...
And no... that didn't stop them from nagging, complaining and wanting for a food break...
*Akko's POV*
It took us more than an hour to reach our destination. He said that he found a good place, which is where his family goes when they go out to have fun but it's getting dark.
-Secret Place-
We finally arrived and as I look at the place, it's an open field. We're walking on a dusty road and beside us are rice fields and the moon and stars are the only lights that shine upon us to make the place visible. I don't know if he really didn't bring lights or anything on purpose or not but I can tell that he knew that it will be a bright night today. A peaceful place where you can't hear anything but the wind blows.
This place looks familiar. It's like I've been here before but I can't seem to remember it. I should actually be scared right now as I'm in a dark place and I'm not sure if this place is safe but I'm with Scy, I know that he won't ever hurt me. He's the kind of guy who protects the ones he loves and...
”KYAAAAAAH!” I panicked after I heard something that jumped in front of me!
”Haha! It's just a frog.” Then I realized that after that embarrassing moment, I'm holding Scy's arm! I swiftly stopped holding his arm as I don't want to make it awkward for both of us.
”Here. Hold my hand instead. It's dark, I'm sorry. I should have chosen a better time.” He offered his hand and so I happily accepted it. This is all my fault. He specifically told me to wear simple clothes but it took me forever to pick what to wear because I was too nervous... Oh gosh...
”Don't worry, we're almost there.” He said and so we continued walking for a bit. Thank God I didn't wear heels today. It's windy but I don't feel cold at all. Maybe because I'm feeling his warmth.
”And here we are.” We stopped and after I looked at the place... I was speechless of what I saw...
A beautiful lake ahead that reflects the moonlight and the stars. The area beside the lake is full of soft grass and flowers dancing together with the wind. It's so incredible and I was astonished by it that it gave me chills all over my body. Scy looked at me smiling directly through my soul. If I could stay here forever with him, I would.
Ugh... for a moment there my head suddenly hurt and I saw a flash of an image showing me the same exact moment of what is happening right now but Scy... Scy looks older there...
”Are you ok?!” At that moment I realized that Scy caught me after I lost my balance. Where did those images come from? It felt like it's something happened before... but why is it like that?
”I'm ok, I'm sorry. My body probably wasn't able to take how beautiful this place is. Thank you for bringing me here. You showed the most beautiful thing I've never seen my entire life.” I said to him honestly and held his hand tightly.
”I don't know why but I had the feeling that I should show you this place. I may be a boring man for not taking you to a fancy restaurant or going to see some movies as normal people would do but I'm not that kind of guy. I prefer something which both of us could never forget. Something that will make you remember that I may not be with you, but I'm always forever in your memory.” I can see it in his eyes that he really mean it. His eyes can't lie, the eyes that could melt my heart. I wanted to tell him that I love him but it's not the right time. I want him to tell me that himself because I know he will someday.
