235 The Fall of the Thunder God (1/2)

I'm starting to feel uneasy. I can tell that the city is taking a lot of damage from the battles around the city and outside, there's an ongoing battle. A battle against their own comrades.
”You better surrender now. This is all part of the plan of the Order of Light. Whatever you do, you will never win.” Vortz said and I can tell that he's really serious. Maximus is a true leader. He always has something behind his sleeves and with his wisdom, I can tell that this battle is really not in our favor.
”I can see that but we could at least try. The good thing about the game is we can always try over and over again.” I showed that even though we're at the losing side, I still have the will to fight.
”You can say that now, but someday, you can only try once because you will lose everything you have if you fail. For now, I will make sure that you and your allies will be destroyed!” His aura is changing. Earlier, I thought, that's the limit of his power but I guess he's going to use his full potential now.
”I won't hold back anymore and give it all! STORM CALLER'S FINAL FORM!” Oh.... this is pretty bad. He skipped second and third form to use his final! Usually, second forms are for defense boost and third forms are for an overall power boost. That means he will hit harder this time.
”STORM CALLER'S LIGHTNING RELEASE!” Vortz raised both of his hands and then he created a ball of lightning! It releases a massive amount of lightning that circles around the area and its range are getting wider and bigger!
We tried to get near him but the lightning moves so fast that we can't get close to him. Getting hit even once will cause too much damage to us.
”Get back!” His comrades pulled back as the lightning destroyed everything it touches. The ground crumbles as the lightning moves around.
”ICE DRAKE'S WALL OF ICE!” Someone used a giant wall made of ice to protect us from the lightning. I can tell that it's sturdy and it will be hard to demolish even with high-level spells. (Selene.)
*BZZZZZT!*
The lightning started to move faster and bigger in a circular motion around Vortz and it reached us in no time! The wall shattered in an instant upon making contact with the lightning! This is insane!
Zia and Sieg's are still fighting but they are not in the area anymore. It seems they changed location.
Suddenly, the lightning stopped and it just disappeared then, I've felt a tremendous amount of sudden burst above us! Wait... this is...
”Above us! ZOFIA'S ABSOLUTE SHIELD OF BULWARK!” I know this is insane but I even used almost all my mana to use this spell. It might just my imagination but it's better to be sure. I created a giant shield above us to protect us where I've felt the release of power!
”STORM CALLER'S THUNDER GOD'S BOLT OF DEVASTATION!”
*BOOOOOOOOM!* Massive lightning from above annihilated our defenses like it was nothing and my giant shield's side shattered! I failed to protect everyone!
The massive amount of force made a giant hole beside me and... everyone disappeared in a flash with that massive force. The upper part of my armor shattered and my shield crumbles to pieces after the attack...
How... how did that happen in just one move?! I almost died from that. If not because of Zofie, I'm so dead by now. There's no sign of life nearby... I survived alone.
”Goddamnit! Why can't you just die?! You're too much pain in the as*!” Vortz showed how angry he is. Both of his hands are severely injured and his monster soul form got canceled. Do I still have a chance? His guards are, once again, rushed towards him to guard him.
They are trying to heal him once again but the damage he took using that double edge move was too much that they are taking a while healing him.
Zofie, thanks for the help but I need to ask you one more favor. Let's make this guy pay for what he's done.
*SHATTER*
The armor left on my body shattered. Now I'm wearing my basic gear once again.
”That's more like it. Give up now.” Vortz said. He signaled another batch of his warriors to attack me but I didn't remove my armor just to get killed.
The advantage of having Zofie is I don't have to keep track of my weapons because she just recreates them. My protective armor in exchange for more weapons.
They charge at me with all they've got. I don't know how many are there anymore because they're too many for me to defeat alone so my only choice is to target their leader.
