223 Tracking Team (1/2)
I didn't bring anyone with me because they would just slow me down. Our guild members haven't recovered yet because of the war. We lost and they are now wondering if we could still win this war.
After traveling for quite some time, as Jay said, the numbers of scouts decreased, unlike last time. Monsters' level isn't high enough to be aggroed by me. The area where we fought is still technically devastated by the battle. The only equipment left are those armors and weapons useless to even sell. I bet collectors did their best to scavenge our corpses after the battle.
-East of Dragoon City-
I am getting closer to the forest Jay told me. I'm quite feeling a familiar aura nearby. I don't want to guess and I need to check it out myself. I went to the place where I've felt the aura slowly. I don't want to get discovered by enemies in this place. I'm going to get killed as soon as they saw me.
Hmmmmm? I looked closely but there's no one...
*SWOOOOOOOSH!* A spell!
”Holy... It almost got me.” I blurted out. An icicle almost hit me in the face.
”Wait? Is that you Sea Lion?” I heard a familiar voice calling me that familiar nickname.
”Ugh... that was really dangerous. What are you doing here, Osia?”
”My sister is still missing and she told me that those jerks from Dark Brotherhood captured them with Scy and Miss Akko. She said that they are now being imprisoned in a dungeon that they can't even see the sunlight. They can't use spells either for some reason.” Osia! I am so lucky being here! Jackpot, but how could we find the place?
”So do you know the location of that dungeon? We need to save them. You guys are our only last hope.”
”Sis wasn't sure but when she asked the guard who's looking out for them, he told her that it's a place that they would never find. I don't think it's a riddle or it might really true. If you ask me, I know someone who has the best tracking skills. We could ask for help.” That's a good idea, Osia.
”And where could we find that someone?”
”You don't know? It's Elou. I bet they're now finding them.” Ugh... why him.
”I guess they are on the move now but they haven't found them yet so that means they also can't find them. Though we can go there now but first, did you find anything unusual here?” I checked the area but my nose won't tell me enough.
”Well, I found some similar powder here. It seems like it was prepared for them, no smell at all and you almost can't see it. This isn't the work of Ravens. Ravens are known for their power-up potions. Dark Brotherhood huh, those guys are nasty.” She explained. Wow, she saw that? She's smarter than I thought.
”Thanks, Osia. This isn't really my problem and it's really troublesome but I hope we still get your support if we find them somehow. They might not want to fight with us anymore but it's worth the try.
”They might say that Scy and the others left the Dragoons but I really know what happened and it's not their fault. Those jerks did this and they are going to pay for this!” She's smiling... Aren't you supposed to be mad or something? I bet she's quite excited because I know she likes adventure.
”They sure will but first, let's get out of here before someone sees us,” And so we traveled together again.
-Near Life Guild-
We took the path near the Order of Light Guild because it's faster and quite safer than Storm Seeker's and Raven's Path. So far, we haven't had any problems yet. We are getting closer to the Life Guild.
We managed to reach their guild and it's quieter than usual. Scouts from above saw us and then opened the gate for us.
”Miss Chara, Elou's already waiting for you guys. Just head straight to the Guild Hall.” One of them announced.
So I just waved at them and we entered. I guess Elou already know that we would come to him.
We entered the Guild Hall and Elou's already waiting for us inside.
”Hey, guys. I'm really sorry last time. We were kind of late but it's because we were stopped by the guild leaders of both Ravens and Hearth Fire and the numbers will tell you that we were on the tight spot that time. We were outnumbered that we were forced to ask the Elven Clan for help. I'm with Osia that time too. She knows what happened.” Elou explained.
”Yeah, I saw you guys. But too bad, our guild was stopped too by the Order of Light. If only we could join forces that time, I'm pretty sure our chances of winning will be greater. We can't let our lose today affect future battles. Would you still stand by our side and fight?”
