”Have you checked your stats if it's on your masteries? A monster soul usually is listed as additional masteries.” Oh, I'm not really sure.

”I checked it before but there's nothing like that on my stat.” It doesn't add anything on my stats but it boosts my capabilities once I use it.

”Can the sword talk to you for some reason?” He asked.

”Yeah it can talk to me and it can only talk to me.” And it's kind of annoying too.

”Well, I think the weapon chose you as its master. Like monster souls, we need to absorb and cultivate their power before we can use them but your weapon, on the other hand, is like a power-up. It can't be improved but if you can advance your own abilities, you can use your weapon better. It's like ” Well, he's kind of right. With my current self right now, I'm still too weak. I have to improve my abilities more and practice using the sword.

”Ok, let me show you how I transform,” Thank God, Akko brought my sword too. If I left it on the battlefield then it's like looking for a needle in the haystack.

”When you were away with the army, we were supposed to investigate the castle while you guys are waiting but the Icy Mountain is heavily guarded by the army so I went alone. I've met Shiv and one of their allies on my way. We tried to look for clues for the coming invasion and found that there are more than we expected. So we slip through and found a cave but there's a narrow bridge made of stone. Shiv pushed me and fell but of course, I have Thunderbird so I was able to fly up ahead and because I'm pissed, I destroyed the bridge and made them fall. That caught the attention of the monsters nearby, which are Legendary Bosses. I hid in the cave and I found the Frozen King. I tried to escape by tricking him but when I came out; there are a lot of monsters waiting for me outside. Making the long story short, I fought with them but I lost. I thought I died but fortunately, I was just petrified by the Lamia. That's the reason I wasn't there when you need me. I'm sorry.” Wow... He did really explain everything that happened! And I thought he still has a grudge with the Order of Light guild.

”Well, that's really a long story. If people also are hearing your story maybe they'd be sleeping now. Joking aside, I know that there's an important reason why you were missing in action a while back. You're Scy after all.” I respect him for saving my life and stopping me from making tough decisions. I have to somehow return the favor.

We heard a noise of footsteps coming towards us.

”Hey Elou, what's wrong?!” Elou rushed towards us and he looks exhausted.

”We were able to save most of the people in Simple Town but the place is really in a mess. Also, there's no undead there but only monsters that made an alliance with the Frozen King. Do you remember the Goblin Rider Boss inside the cave?” I have no idea who the Goblin thingy is.

”Yeah, I remember him clearly. We almost got wiped out by him and his pesky goblins, so what about him?” Scy asked.

”He's their leader,” Elou replied. Well, there's a ”Boss” in his name so I bet he's the leader.

”What? But compared to our current status, he should be a piece of cake now right?” Scy replied.

”Yeah, but he's even more powerful this time. I bet he got a good boost from the Frozen King.” Elou's right. The monsters we fought are way too powerful for us. We have to plan.
