161 Frozen Kings Turn (1/2)

That escalated too quickly. The problem is where in the world is the World Boss? Is he already scared after all that happened to his army? I'm pretty sure he should have helped his allies a while back. The Thirteen Gods are resting now while the others are chasing the monsters that are currently fleeing from battle. Archers and Spellcasters didn't participate that much because their help wasn't really that needed but they still helped us with cleaning up the remaining monsters. It wasn't really the exciting war I expected because I think it's just a slaughter. We lost a lot of good people but it's worth it with the result.
”Hey guys, I think our job here is done,” I said after pulling my dagger from one of the fallen Orcs I've just killed a while ago. Orcs are hard to fight because most of the time, we are outnumbered while adventuring or exploring some areas but not this time, not with the Alliance's number.
”Yeah, it's pretty tiring waving this giant hammer of mine,” Chelly replied. Her massive hammer explodes while she smashes enemies around.
”We're done here as well. The idea of a sudden invasion like this should have meant something. A World Boss is not dumb enough to just send his men here just to die without a reason. There must be some kind of a hidden agenda here.” Pie, who's really observant, is also riddled by this kind of invasion. They said that the smart and knowledgeable man is the one who asks and doubts too much. Though, I really doubt too much about that.
Uri really helped us a lot with resurrecting the dead and helping us fight the monsters. She also healed some of us with her support spells when we're in a tight spot.
Our group can't be really compared to the Thirteen Gods or their Guild officers but I can tell that we really helped them somehow. Our group almost killed hundreds of them. I've lost count when someone managed to land a hit on me, which really hurt a lot. It's been a couple of hours now but not a single sign of Scy and the other three leaders can be seen here.
”You've fought well, brats. Now the war is almost coming to an end. Let's go have a rest now.” Celeste ordered us to get back.
Thousands of Orcs and players died on this battlefield. Thick blood of both sides are everywhere and are easily frozen by the cold environment. The unfamiliar smell of iron slips through my nose. The sound of slashes, hammering and even explosions from magic are still ringing into my ears. Now, the place is too quiet. If this is real, then the agony of losing those who fought would be really terrible but fortunately, this is just a game. What if it's all real? Are we still going for a war to protect humankind from an invasion? Or escape and find a place where people would be safe from danger? No one knows. It's been a long time since there is war around the real world.
I should really stop thinking too much. We won and that is all that matters for now. We are tired and resting. I don't think eating something right now would be even a good idea after all those gross bodies on my mind. We would never see something like this in real life. The awesomeness of this game is overflowing. Really...
After a while, we regrouped with the other officers. You can see that all of the people are really happy with the results. But they haven't withdrawn the archers and spellcasters yet which really bothers me.
”Hello, it's me. I was wondering if I could get all of your attention for a moment.” It's Sis! She's going to start an announcement. That starting line sounds familiar though.
”You've fought really well today. You guys did a good job. But as you can see, melee fighters are still here in the battlefield while the archers and magicians are still hidden to a safe place to aid us when we need them. That's because I know that there 's still a bigger challenge than that and it's the time when the World Boss comes out!” She exclaimed. That explains a lot.
”I know that all of you are really tired and hungry right now after all that fighting we've done earlier today but we don't have much time to rest because I can feel it. The World Boss is almost upon us!” She is really worried about what might happen next.
