146 WE WANT TO REPLACE YOU FROM THE POSITION OF THE CEO (1/2)
John sat down on the chair and had a look at all the directors. They all were ready to face the wrath of John. They knew that they had done too much this time, but they wanted to try their luck also.
Tonny was the CEO of a small company. He always wanted to be the CEO of the Smith Enterprise. It was his dream. He tried to get more and more shares of Smith Enterprise by using some underhand ways. Now he has a total of ten per cent shares of the company, which he got using many tricks. Now he became the major shareholder among all directors.
”Good morning everyone.Welcome to the Smith enterprise. Thank you for coming here.Although we had met last week, as you want to meet again.So I think there must have some valid reason behind the meeting. If you are ready now, we can start our meeting. ” John announced.
All the directors nodded.They were waiting for a long time for the meeting. They could not wait for more for their upcoming good luck, that day.
”Mr John Smith, you are a talented, experienced and successful businessman. Now you have extended your business around the world. You have already opened the branches of Smith Enterprise almost all the countries all over the world.And doing good in all countries.You are a good businessman. We all are very much aware of that. But sometimes we need some changes for our own development .We need some break to grow more.”One of the directors said.
”You can tell the real reason behind today's meeting in a straightforward manner. I don't like to beat around the bushes. I am not as free as you are. So, please don't waste my times. ” John said coldly.
Almost everyone's hearts skipped a beat. If it was not about to get the position as CEO, they would not come to face this ruthless man like this. For the sake of getting the position, they decided to tolerate John Smith for some more time, because they knew that they will replace John by anyhow today.
”Mr John Smith, as you like to know everything in a very simple and straightforward manner, I am going to tell you everything in a simple way. We want to replace you from the position of CEO, because we think that, you are not an eligible person for that position now. ” Tonny Heck said with a smirk.
John said nothing. He sat there totally silent and listen to everyone very attentively. He only signalled Tonny Heck to continue his speech.
Tonny Heck was happy that John is not protesting his views. That means John must have agreed to his proposal. He was excited.
He smiled brightly and continued. ”As we all know, you were managing the company very efficient way. But now we all felt that you became a little bit careless. We all saw what happened in the Smith Textiles. Luckily no one died or injured in the bomb blast but anything could happen to the workers if you would not be sent them to a safer place in time. As the CEO of a company, you should be aware of these types of happenings beforehand. But you came to know about the bomb, only thirty minutes before the blast. What would have you done, if anyone killed in the blast? Who would have taken the responsibilities of the families of that person? Mr John Smith, you should take the responsibility of the blast and leave the position as CEO. Because there is much more responsible people also exist in the company to take the position and do the duty properly. So we are here to select a new CEO of the company, as we all think that you need to take a break. ”
