Chapter 83 - Can You Hold a Grand Procession to Wed Me (2/2)
Thinking those thoughts while nestled in Fu Sichen’s embrace moved Pei Zhen, but he also felt shame.
His heart was racing, but being so close to Fu Sichen, Pei Zhen didn’t know if the heartbeat was his own or Fu Sichen’s.
He felt his face flush.
He tried to work his way out of the embrace and curl up in a ball. Yet, just as he was about to succeed, a large hand encircled him ruthlessly!

Pei Zhen quietly rolled his eyes; it looked like he wasn’t going to let go.
“Who would have thought, the great Best Actor Fu is so attached to his pet.” After a lot of struggling and not being able to escape, Pei Zhen gave himself an excuse to justify his actions. “Fine, on the basis of our old friendship, I will grant you your wish this one time.”
After convincing himself (and who was he trying to kid), Pei Zhen finally closed his eyes and fell asleep.
A few days later, filming of The War of the Pets came to an end. A few of the celebrities had grown closer as a result of the teamwork and collaboration.
Of course, the same went for the pets—they too grew closer.
With the Husky as an example, the other pets were in awe of Pei Zhen the cat.
“Pei Pei, please tell me how to eat an orange.” The voice was coming from the young celebrity’s Inu Shiba, who was wagging his tail happily. “I really want to try it! Woof!”
“Pei Pei, teach me a few more profanities!” The parrot had taken to repeating “Beyond stupid” and was on a roll. “I want to learn more so that I can say them to the silly bird living next door.”
“And, and… Pei Pei, are you really not getting married?” The Best Actress’ cat had been watching too many period dramas and spoke in character. “I’m of marriageable age, can you hold a grand procession to wed me?”
“Get lost!” The Husky was considerably possessive and pushed the Persian cat behind him. “The master will not take in any more disciples! And the master will not get himself a wife!”
Pei Zhen was irritated. All of you get lost! I am human!
