Of course, these were all just guesses.

For Pei Zhen, reality was cruel.

Pei Zhen followed furiously after Xiao Nian as Xiao Nian ran out of the bus station. He took a great leap onto Xiao Nian’s backpack, but before he had the chance to teach Xiao Nian a lesson, there was a sound of screeching tires.

A fleet of police cars had arrived.

A lot of policemen quickly got out of the car to surround Xiao Nian and Pei Zhen.

Xiao Nian was almost on his knees in despair.

This was especially true after the window of one of the police cars rolled down, and Xiao Nian’s eyes met those of the person sitting there. Beads of perspiration formed on his forehead.

It was Fu Sichen!

He actually called the police!

All of this drama, just for a missing cat!

Xiao Nian really couldn’t understand what was going on in Fu Sichen’s head. Pei Zhen couldn’t either!

The minute that Pei Zhen saw Fu Sichen, he completely forgot about Xiao Nian. He made an immediate decision, turned around, and jumped off of Xiao Nian.

He wanted to escape, but the policemen were ready. With the press of a button, a huge net was deployed and landed over the cat.

The moment he was caught, all Pei Zhen could do was curse in his head.

The time between the white Persian cat’s escape and his capture was less than an hour.

In a secure room, the dim light of a table lamp was directed at Xiao Nian’s extremely charming face.

“I was wrong.” Xiao Nian’s attitude was very sincere. He even squeezed out a tear to show how much he regretted his actions. “I won’t do it again, I promise. There won’t be a next time. I’m serious.”

Fu Sichen, who was sitting across from Xiao Nian, let out a cold laugh. He was playing with some red rope in his hands. The rope was about as thick as an adult’s pinky. It snapped straight when Fu Sichen applied force, and the sound caused Xiao Nian to almost fall from his chair in fright.

“Please! Spare my life! Please don’t kill me!”
