37 Evolution Task (1/2)
It was the moment that Rahz had been waiting for, Energy from the corpse
divided into 6 parts and shot towards each and every one of the Task Team
members that had participated in the encounter equally.
This time there were 4 less people in the team and the opponent was 2
Levels higher than the previous Elite they had encountered.
Blaire that was at Level 8 rushed to Level 9 in one fell swoop and even
Bhirl was only 30% away from the peak of Level 9 and the opportunity of
removing the first shackles of the mortal realm was just around the corner.
Rahz rune of awakening was full to the brim and if he were to take his
armor off it would be radiating high levels of energy at 10 second intervals.
It was very clear that the Rune itself wanted to transform into a more
powerful version of itself but the laws set up by the Realms prevented it
from doing so.
The reason why warriors need it to complete a task in order to evolve had
long been forgotten and the creatures in the realm of Elysian stopped
worrying about those things in the current era of peace. The Shattering
had now become a myth passed through bard songs or found in the
deepest corners of a library that nobody looked at anymore.
The history of the realm was starting to change and the people that knew
the answer to that question were starting to pay attention to exceptional up
and coming fighters.
Rahz was in the clouds at that moment, he had been waiting for the
opportunity to level up and he didn't think that he would be able to get the
task before his trip to Willowdale town. He literally wanted to pack up and
head back home to carry the ceremony.
Congrats Rahz!!
Congrats Rahz!!
Bhirl was not a chatty person so he gave Rahz the thumbs up.
Rahz smiled and took two bows in front of everyone making everyone
regret their decision of congratulating him and inflating his ego even more.
”Let's finish this task quickly, I can't wait to go home”
The rest of the rooms were pretty easy to clean and as per the instructions
of the elders, Aya disposed of the Elite in the 20th room. It was a real treat
to see a level 18 Rogue fighting a Level 15 Elite Kobold which in the eyes
of the team was an impossible task for a Barbarian to fight 1 on 1. The two
Boss level opponents they defeated left a big impression in their minds and
it made it look like nobody in their village was capable of 1v1 creatures
such as the Elite Kobolds. To their surprise it was the opposite, Scout
Leader Aya had to reduce her speed several notches for the team to see
her movements.
”Woah!! Ooh!! Amazing!!”
It was like a UFC fanatic seeing their favorite fighter in the ring displaying
their skills just for their eyes, It was an indescribable feeling. At the end of
the exhibition there was no blood spilled in the room. Aya used the Elite to
send a message to the Kobold King that Helgahvall would be taking over
the territory made up by the 20 rooms.
Even though the Kobold did not understand the spoken word, after a few
explanations and sign language he got the message that Aya wanted tell
his king. The first evolution was also a milestone for creatures such as
Kobolds, they stop acting only on instinct and gained intelligence and a little
bit of wisdom. If there were some that manage to reach level 30th and up,
they would be able to communicate in the universal language and there
were some capable of designing weapons or even enchanting powerful
runes from systems of magic not understood by the human magi.
The expedition of the mine had been an overall success with many gains
by the members. The last room was filled with quite a few pieces of Iron
Ore that the village was suppose to pay at a premium price or so they
thought. There was nobody that really knew the market price of a piece of
iron and when the team members saw the elders paying each piece at
double the price of a copper piece they cheered.
Despite not having contribute to much during the fights the people that
were injured at the beginning still got an equal amount of money as it was
