Chapter 54 - Fire Her (1/2)
'Can't you see that I'm trying my best?'
”I know, even though you're my husband, your heart belongs to another woman. You rush to marry me to protect your woman.” Aylin Lui said softly.
'I can't separate two lovebirds. I don't want to be the third wheel.'
Aylin Lui looked at Ethan Chance with a serious expression on her face ”So… Let's just pretend like nothing happened on the wedding night.”
Ethan Chance's heart feels heavy after hearing his wife's words. He feels like a sharp knife cutting his heart into pieces.
This is Ethan Chance's first time that he feels like he lost everything.
He didn't get mad but he's heartbroken hearing what his own wife said.
Ethan Chance forced a smile and looked at Aylin Lui ”Since I'm already your husband, I'll be royal to you. You don't need to worry about other women. You're my wife now. No other women are as important to me as you are.”
”So don't say that I married you because of another woman.” Ethan Chance stood up and walked up to Aylin Lui.
He sat next to Aylin Lui. He took Aylin Lui's hands in his hands. He stared into Aylin Lui's eyes with a serious face and said ”We're husband and wife now. Let's not talk about unhappy things that are going to break our family apart.”
'He said our family. Does this mean he considers me one of his family?'
Aylin Lui's heart softens after hearing Ethan Chance's words.
Aylin Lui smiled and said ”Alright.” She continued ”You better keep your words. If you break them, I'll break your legs.”
Ethan Chance smiles at his little wife words ”I swear I won't break my words. If I do, you have every right to do anything to me.”
”You better.”
'Holding grudges is not going to do me good. So I might as well look forward to our future. He said he married me not because of other women.'
Ethan Chance pulled her into his embrace.
”Aren't you hungry?” Aylin Lui asked. ”I'm sure that you're hungry by now since you work non stop.”
”I am.” Ethan Chance rubbed his wife's head.
Aylin Lui stood up, then she took Ethan Chance's hand ”Let's go eat then. I'll treat you to something good.”
Ethan Chance felt that the heavy rock on his heart was lifted by Aylin Lui's action.
It seems like Ethan Chance fell head over heels for his wife. She's the only woman who can make him worry, happy, sad, etc…
He thought that no one will make his heart beat really fast for the rest of his life. But after meeting Aylin Lui, he can't figure out his own heart anymore.
When they walked out of the elevator holding hands, all eyes were staring at them.
It looks like Aylin Lui was pulling him and Ethan Chance was following her.
When the front desk lady saw them coming out, she rushed toward Aylin Lui.
”Ma'am, I'm sorry about before. I should've done that.” the front lady said anxiously.
