Sasaki was able to see the last exchange between Nate and Salazar after he cleaned up the cannon fodders. He saw the lightning lance breaking apart Salazar's blow and piercing through him followed by bursting into a dome of lightning.

”He is strong!!” exclaimed Sasaki ”Guess he is strong enough to be my captain.”

After the lightning died down, Salazar's corpse was left in a crater and it was charred beyond recognition. Nate sheathed his blade and walked up to Sasaki while observing his surroundings, he noticed most of the Marines were taken out by Sasaki with very few remaining. Nate decided to knockout the rest of them using Haki in order to not waste anytime as they still needed to steal a ship.

”I didn't know you had Conqueror's Haki.” said Sasaki somewhat amazed, he knew that it was the rarest form of Haki.

”Let's go. Our new ride is waiting for us.” said Nate as he walked further into the Marine base while Sasaki followed.

They searched for sometime until they found the exclusive dock situated behind the base facing the sea. There was three ships anchored there with two of them being a standard marine vessels while the last one was a giant warship. After seeing the warship Nate once again certain that Salazar was not an ordinary Marine, the knew that most of his technique where Rokushiki used by Cipher Pol and he was even able to use it along with his Haki. If had both his limbs then Nate might have had to get more serious during the fight.

”Let's take the small one, a warship isn't much useful to us and it might even end being a hassle to manage by just the three of us.” said Nate while walking towards the ships.

”Do you have any plans for the sails and the ships markings, it has marines written all over it.” asked Sasaki while staring at the ships.

”No need to worry about the sails, I am pretty sure they might have some white sails on the base in case of emergency repairs.” said Nate while examining the ships ”As for the markings on the sides, we can just paint it.”

Soon Nate decided on which ship they will be taking, it was standard cruiser-like vessel that has three masts, two with two sails and one with a lateen sail. It has six cannons on each side of its hull and four larger cannons situated on the bow. A large circular structure is located in the middle of the ship, and the Marine symbol and name was painted on the sides.

After deciding on the ship, Nate started working on removing the sails and flags on it, while Sasaki went searching within the base for spare sails. Nate knew how to handle the sails due to teachings of Rin during there training. And after few hours of hard work Nate and Sasaki managed to change the sails of the ship to plain white and they even managed to paint over the Maine markings using some of the green paint left in the base.

”It looks great!! Only thing missing is a Pirate flag.” said Nate happily while staring at the ship.
