Chapter 4 - Hogwarts (1/2)
Arth and Daphne were playing with the baby raven they decided to call Corvus when there was a knock on the door of their compartment and the a round-faced boy came in. He looked tearful.
”Sorry,” he said, ”but have you seen a toad at all?”
Arth ignored the boy and continued to play with baby Corvus who was rubbing its head onto Arth's finger while Daphne shook her head.
The boy started to wail, ”I've lost him! He keeps getting away from me!”
”Put him in a cage.” Said Daphne before joining Arth in ignoring the boy who left sadly. It was only moments before the door slid open again. The toadless boy was back, but this time he had a girl with him. She was already wearing her new Hogwarts robes.
”Has anyone seen a toad? Neville's lost one,” she said. She had a bossy sort of voice, lots of bushy brown hair, and rather large front teeth.
Daphne frowned. ”You two are really rude you know? We already told him that we never saw it.”
The other girl raised an eyebrow. ”I think it's ruder to not help someone when they need it.”
Daphne scoffed. ”Are you being serious? Arth, did you hear all that? Tell her how ridiculous she is being.”
Arth sighed. ”Check the bathrooms, roads like moist places.”
Neville let out a bright grin. ”Thanks! I'll go check them at once,” he said before immediately dashing off. The girl and Daphne exchanged glares before the girl left to follow Neville.
Daphne gave Arth a pat on the back.
”Good job getting rid of them. Although, it would've been better if you were a little more aggressive.”
”Why do I have to be more aggressive? It's such a pointless thing to get angry over.”
”Because, the girl is annoying.”
”Why?”
”Cause she is.”
Arth shrugged. ”If you say so.”
A voice echoed through the train: ”We will be reaching Hogwarts in five minutes' time. Please leave your luggage on the train, it will be taken to the school separately.”
Arth raised a brow.
”I guess we should change into our robes then.”
”Hmmm, that would be a good idea- W-what are you doing?”
Arth raised an eyebrow. ”What is it?”
Daphne pointed at Arth, who was beginning to take off his clothes in order to wear his robes.
