”Golem…” he mumbled to himself as he remembered the fight he, Arrora, and Don had with them inside the Ancient dungeon.
The broken limb from a Golem in your hand is likely a defective product”
”You seem like you know more about Golems?”
He tossed away the broken limb and asked Lia
”Yes, I learned about them a bit and there are some special great sects that know much more about Golems and specialize in controlling Golems. Rumors have it that there exist some Golems that could rip apart a Peak Heavenly level mage in a few seconds ”
”Ripping apart a Peak Heavenly level…” Upon hearing these words, his brain became fascinated and recalled the powerful aura he sensed at the scroll building.
He pondered about this for a time but was still stood by his decision not to go upstairs and mess with that Golem. He could only let out a bitter laugh as he shook his head. This world was indeed strange and wondrous.
”Let's take the left path. There seem to be some fluctuations there.” he was clearly not very interested in these broken Golem parts, thus, he pointed at a path and started to walk towards it.
”Okay.”
Lia nodded her head before quietly following him behind.
Swiftly sweeping into peculiar wooden pole formation, he found more broken Golem limbs along the way. Furthermore, there were also traces of a fight, indicating that someone had done battle with the Golems in this area.
As they traveled, they also encountered some Golems, however, when Lia saw these exasperatingly slow and rigid guys, she finally understood why there were broken limbs all over the area. These kind of Golems were really too shabby, besides their huge body and strength, they seemed to be reduced into target practice dummies.
After casually destroying a few Golems, Knight lost interest as he once again stepped on his black sword with Lia and dashed forward.
However, while they moved at full speed, they followed the wooden pathways for over a dozen minutes, yet, there seemed to be no exit to the path before their eyes.
”Something seems wrong”
His expression was serious and he felt that they seemed to be going in circles. Moreover, while they traveled, they did not encounter anyone else, if it were not for the traces of a fight that remained, he would believe that they were the only ones here.
”This seems to be some kind of formation…” Lia also sensed that something was wrong. She looked around as her eyes swept across the surroundings before she helplessly said
”Young Master, I think we stumbled upon annoying formations”
”What should we do now?” Knight scratched his chin. They could not possibly continue this way right? Sooner or later, they would end up dead from fatigue. If it was a door, he could simply brute force or destroy it using his overwhelming strength but he had zero knowledge in Life Energy formations. Yet, Lia looked at him like she was expecting him to break the formation with a wave of his hands
”Why are you looking at me like that? I don't know anything about these formations”
”Really?”
In Lia's eyes, he was a genius who could do anything but after thinking that he can't possibly be a fighter and a runemaster at the same time, she nodded and started to check out the wooden poles.
” Although I am not very adept at formations, the wooden pole formation should not be too hard.” Lia spread out her hands before she closed her eyes. Following, a layer of silver light spread outwards from her and enveloped the area
This scene lasted for a moment before she once again opened her eyes as she pointed forward.
”Young Master, walk a hundred steps to your left”
Hearing this, he was skeptical as he walked a hundred steps to his left just like she said. But after finding that there was still no exit before him, he spread his arms out and asked: ”What now?”
” Use your hand to push the sixth wooden pole to your left,” Lia replied.
”Oh?”
Knight was stunned for a while, soon after, a flash of realization hit him. It turned out that the true road was not to his front, but at the sides. The path before him was nothing more than an illusion.
When he recalled that he had actually followed the path for such a long time, he could not help but sigh. He pushed towards the sixth wooden pole.
”Rumble!”
As he pushed, the wall of wooden poles before him suddenly moved, and a path appeared in front of him.
”Such a troublesome mechanism”
He mumbled under his breath as he strolled forward. Many wooden poles still formed the walls here, however, after his previous experience, he was no longer irritated. After once again pushing open several pathways with the help of Lia, a spacious drilling field appeared before his eyes.
