241 Good Bye (2/2)
With the Mid and peak level grandmasters using their combined power was far greater than a single heavenly level mage. With just the amount of power the creatures radiating while casting the spell forced itself onto his body, causing him to gasp as his remaining bones began to crack under the pressure.
In the form of a large long-ranged attack, three creatures released a flame that seared across the skies and shot toward Don.
”Ahh!” he let out a cry as he focused all of his strength into his left arm and brought the black sword smashing down onto the attack aimed at him.
The battle energy fused with dark energy had devoured the attack from the three creatures and instantly shattered their attacks. At the very moment, their attacks were shattered, he threw the sword at them as the black sword cleaved the creatures head and blasted their bodies.
The glow on his sword began to dissipate after this attack as he had reached his limit and could no longer breathe or control the sword.
Suddenly, the weather began to grow unstable and worse as darker and darker clouds began to descend down from the skies. Many flashes of lightning could be seen crackling within the clouds as well. The atmosphere began to grow tenser.
The next moment, an unbelievably mighty pressure descended upon him,
And facing the sky with an even paler face, he could only see a group of creatures protect themselves with a layer of life energy. Floating high in the sky, another three creatures were using their God level spells at the same time with power so great that they had influenced the weather itself.
He felt a sharp pain all over his body as he struggled to keep himself straight with a victorious smile. He had already killed a few of the creatures with his current state. And he made them use their best spells to take his life away and now he was ready to embrace death like a warrior, like a king.
In a flash, the preparation time for the creatures came to an end. In the next moment, three rays of dazzling light could be seen jetting toward him with a speed that shook the air around them.
Unconsciously, he reached his hand out towards the black sword but the sword was lying on the ground without moving.
Without any sort of resistance, the light reached his body, and like a kite in a storm without an anchor, his body was blown back sixty meters and fell to the ground and It had taken him another thirty meters before his body had come to a rest after tumbling like a ball in motion.
There was already a large hole in the cavity of his chest, leaving behind just plain air where his inner organs should be. From head to toe, his body was covered with blood and not a single part of his body was left unstained by blood.
Another creature quickly flew towards him and immediately stabbed Don with its dagger, running the dagger through his chest completely.
The light in Don's eyes began to grow dimmer. He couldn't help but struggle to keep his eyes open before finally closing them for good.
In the next moment, his consciousness turned to a formless state. His own spirit had already begun to depart from the world and his senses grew dull to the outside world. At the final moments, before his soul would disappear for good, he couldn't help but think back to memories of sister Elena and the villagers of peace valley, his best friend and brother Knight, the smiling faces of Arrora, Amaryll, and all the people in Everlight.
”This… is this the feeling of death?”
”Sister Elena… I'm sorry. I couldn't avenge you”
”Knight, my brother, thank you for being with me. If there's a second life, I pray that I will meet you again”
”Everyone in Everlight. I won't be seeing you again…goodbye”
