186 Plan Failed (2/2)

Knight was surprised to hear Arrora but when he looked back, he saw the shelves had emptied by her.

”There wasn't too many scrolls here ”

Arrora said and looked at Don punching the golem and ripping away the stone skin.

”We should leave this place”

”Aren't we going to the last floor?”

Arrora was confused because they planned to go to the last floor together and steal the scrolls there.

”No, it will be suicide to go there, the energy coming from upstairs is giving me a headache, whatever that thing is, we can't fight it”

While he was aggressively punching the golem, Don heard everything and trusted Knight's judgment since Knight wouldn't have come to this decision unless he was certain that they weren't a match for that thing protecting the last floor.

”Viper, can you throw that golem down?”

Knight asked with an excited evil grin on his face as Arrora stood there without any words to speak.

Even though she knew Don is strong, she couldn't believe that he could lift that thing up and throw it down. However, when she thought that Knight's suggestion was impossible to get it done, she saw a purple fire covering Don's hands as his hand penetrated the golem's chest.

She heard the golem growling and saw it struggling to free itself but before it could achieve that Don lifted it up from the ground using his full strength and threw it downstairs.

”NOOOOO!”

The moment Don threw the golem down and fell on to his one knee, Arrora heard a loud scream coming from the down floor.

”RUN! IT'S A GRANDMASTER”

The youths were using their full strength to fight with a great master golem and they still couldn't beat it so when they saw the grandmaster golem falling from the air, they lost all their hope and started to run towards the exit.

Chase was not an exception to this as she retrieved the flying arrow from her space ring and jumped on it to escape the golems.

While everyone was running away like crazy, Don quickly used the hell flame and melted the ground beneath him to directly reach the first floor where Chase and the youths tried to get in.

Unlike before, Arrora wasn't the only one using the space ring but Don and Knight too raised their hands and put everything into their space rings.

It only took a minute or two to clean the whole place up while the golems were already slaughtered many of the youths who weren't as fast as the youths who had already escaped the building.

The golems were built to protect the library from intruders as their main goal. So when the second golem saw the youths in front of it, it changed its mark and targeted the youths as the imminent threat hence the slaughter.

”Hey”

Arrora felt Don's hand on her hips and quickly turned her head to look at Don but she was already airborne. Flying towards the exit, she realized that he put his hand on her to throw her towards the exit and when she was flying she saw the blood and smashed organs on the ground.

She couldn't help but feel pity for the youths because they fought so hard with a golem to get the scrolls yet, they not only didn't get the scrolls but lost their lives too.

However, she knew very well that even if the youths did beat the first golem, they could have only gotten the scrolls on the first floor because the golems on the upper floor were much stronger than the previous one and even they didn't choose to go to the last floor.

”Grghhhhh”

Don and Knight heard the golems shout when they escaped the building with the help of wind beneath their feet.

When they reached outside, they saw the youths still running from the building as some others lying under the trees tending to their wounds.

”Let's get out of here, quickly”

Knight didn't want the youths to suspect them for anything as they quickly rushed into the woods.

”Hey, you there”

While they were running they heard someone calling them but they didn't turn back.

”Who called us? Do you think someone sees us robbing or suspects us?”

Arrora asked while keeping up with Knight and Don.

”I don't know for sure”

”Why did you throw that golem at the end? We could have gotten out without all that chaos of you hadn't”

”Then we wouldn't have gotten all those scrolls on the first floor, I took a risk by getting those scrolls and I have a feeling that it'll be worth the effort”

”Why are you grinning?”

Knight grinned after he said this and looked at Don.

And just when she opened her mouth to ask again, an arrow flew past her grazing her hand, and hit the tree before her.

”The next one will go through your head, if you take another step”

The three of them stopped running when they heard the voice as Arrora didn't need any help to recognize the voice.

”Chase”
