121 The Great Ones (2/2)
Since killing Darlene was not an option anymore, Don needed a way to prevent her from using Cold Moon Palace to wage war on his kingdoms
”As far as you leave her kingdom and her family alone, that won't happen but if you dare harm them in any way”
”I don't dare, Elder Randal”
Randal nodded seeing Don's earnest expression on his face
”Good you know when to back down, You live long enough in this world kid”
Unfortunately for Kate, Randal didn't heal her and not even took a closer look at her as Darlene slowly opened her eyes
”She's waking up and before I leave, Kid where did you get the teleportation scroll?”
It seemed that Randal had noticed the use of teleportation and even though the existence of an ancient array of teleportation in Everlight which could open up a rift between two realms might bring Don a disaster, fortunately for Don, this world had scrolls which could be used for short-distance teleportation.
”My father left me some magical scrolls, Elder Randal. I will be happy to donate them to the church”
Buying the scrolls from the auction houses would not be a big deal even though they cost a lot. However, Don didn't want Randal investigating anything because Don had no idea about Randal's knowledge in arrays.
Because Don only let the men who swore loyalty to him use the teleportation array, he didn't have to worry about them leaking the news.
But all said and done, Don knew that he must get stronger and powerful to defend everything he has now.
When the time comes, he planned to destroy everyone he considers as a threat so he didn't have to plan every single one of his moves carefully.
He was not a strategist or mastermind, Don always knew his plans had flaws but the only way he knew how to overcome that weakness was to get stronger. And no one would want to mess with him or his kingdom when he's stronger and powerful than everyone else in the world.
”Girl are you awake?”
Randal saw Darlene opening her eyes and trying to stand up and when he finally pulled herself from the ground, her eyes were burning with rage and fury
”Put your anger into training girl or you won't be getting into my sect”
The moment Darlene heard Randal saying 'my sect', her anger and rage disappeared as she bowed towards Randal despite the pain she was feeling
”And like I've said to him, your feud ends here. The Great Ones always reward the people who work hard, Don and his men fought the battle so Agoria would be his. You have no claims on that”
Hearing Randal, Darlene quickly nodded though she was disappointed and burning with anger inside.
”it's all settled then, the Great Ones may be with you”
As he raised his hand and said, Randal took off and disappeared into the dark gloomy clouds leaving Don and Darlene behind.
After a few minutes of being silent, Darlene turned her gaze towards Don with a gritted teeth
”This is not over, Don”
”Just get out my face”
Don said as he turned back and started to walk away from Darlene. And seeing Don walking away, she was shaking with anger and decided to take revenge for what he had done to her as soon as the right time comes.
”You really messed her up”
After walking away from Darlene, Don saw the swollen face of Kate and he barely recognized her.
”Well, it should teach her some manners”
”Let's go see our new kingdom”
Now everything had been settled here, Don decided to go to Agoria before going to Everlight
”What should we do with them?”
Arrora pointed at King Garreth and Jowan who were currently held being kicked by the dwarves.
”Hey cut it out”
Arrora shouted at the dwarves when she saw them kicking the father-son duo
”They tried ta bribe us”
One of the dwarves replied as Arrora stared at King Garreth and Jowan and then she looked at Don for his answer
”Just kill them”
The dwarves were more than happy to do it by themselves but before they could chop King Garreth's and Jowan's head off, Arrora sent two wind arrows through their heads and gave them a quick death.
”Alright next stop, Agoria”
As Don said Arrora turned back to look at Darlene who was helping her father stand up and asked Don
”Is it a good idea to leave them alive?”
”No, but we don't have a choice, YET”
