86 Little Bunny (1/2)

”It's beautiful isn't it?”

Arrora asked while standing behind Don overlooking the settlements in Everlight.

The dwarves built every building using their best craftsmanship.

The buildings were a mix of different styles, there were wooden houses, houses built with some kind of white stones, and brick houses. Streets between the buildings paved with dark brownstones and each side of the pavement were beautiful flowery plans decorated the streets with their natural charm.

People on the streets had little worries on their faces as everyone passed each other with happy greetings.

The dwarves mostly kept working on the buildings and the elven women were watering the plants along the streets while some demi-human men and women helped dwarves in their construction works. The settlement in Everlight had now taken the shape towards being a small town.

Even though the buildings and the dwarf made pavements had a certain charm, the real beauty of the settlement was the green grassland and the river running around the land. Since the weather was great in Everlight, the farmlands of grain crops looked like it was covered with a golden blanket. Demi-humans along with humans had already started to cut the golden grains while singing songs to ease their exhaustion.

Unlike the smiling faces of the crop cutters, the men and women training on the riverbank resembled a failing crop as Don could see many of them seemed like they would die any minute.

”Knight let them rest for a moment” Don descended on the training ground with Arrora.

The trainees looked Don with pleading eyes even the normally har working demi-humans were not an exception to this.

”Oh come on! We are having fun aren't we?” Knight said the trainees would have coughed up blood if it weren't for them being exhausted.

Don didn't say anything but stared at Knight

”Alright, I'll give them a break. A good one at that” as Knight said he spread his wings and flapped, the force of his wings flapping sent all the trainees into the river nearby. Seeing the shocked faces of the trainees, Knight grinned playfully at them.

”You are such a douchebag ” Arrora said but giggled at the scene.

”Whatever, how's your training going?”

”I've been training them just like this book says” a black book with red linings appeared on her hands. The book had 'Shadow Ghost ' written in fine calligraphy on the front.

”Keep training them and we have the finest assassins in the whole world”

Arrora knew the effects of this book as she was able to get into the Minister's house without alerting a soul and assassinate him.

Unlike Arrora some of her team members alerted the guards but luckily they were capable enough to kill them before sounding the alarms. Till then Arrora kept training her team to make them as Everlight's finest.

”Speaking of assassins, I still couldn't believe we conned the nobles in Emir with water”

After the coronation ceremony, many nobles met with Don and sworn their loyalty to him and asked for the antidote for the poison which they drank the night before or they thought.

Don kept his words and gave them the vials containing a colorless, odorless liquid to them which turned out to be just water when Arrora asked Knight about the poison and the antidote.

”Well, the water did the job just as any poisons would have”

”Brother Joel is waiting for you in the throne hall” while reminiscing about the events that happened in the Emir, Catalie's projection appeared before them. Compared to the little cute Don met when he first stepped into this realm, Catalie now looked like an eleven or twelve years old girl. Don had no idea how she was able to grow or age but he guessed she could grow as the Everlight develops.

”Let's go,” Don said and started to fly towards the castle with Arrora and Knight following.

Entering into the throne hall, Don saw Joel standing in the middle with a group of people behind him wearing various disguises like merchants, noblemen, dancers, soldiers, and so on.

Your majesty” after conquering Emir, Joel started to call Don as 'Your Majesty' instead of 'My lord' which Don didn't object to.

Don nodded and signaled them to stand up from their one knee as he sat on his throne overlooking them.

”Are they ready?” Don asked Joel.

”Absolutely your majesty, and also as spies they need to be put into the fields to complete their training your majesty”
