80 Knight’s Excitemen (1/2)

”The bow and the armor work is done my lord” seeing Ken and the old dwarf Dhursir walking towards him as pulling two boxes with a grin on their faces Knight jumped down from the throne.

”Good good, open the boxes I can't wait to see them” Knight couldn't hold his excitement as Dhursir opened the first human-sized box to reveal a dark grey full body armor standing inside worn by a tall porcelain doll.

The set of armor had a squared helm with a faceguard shaped in the face of a dragon. Attached to the forehead area was a bear-shaped ornament.

The shoulders were rounded, very wide, and quite large. They were decorated with a wolf's head shaped metal ornament.

The upper arms were protected by pointed, half-covering rerebraces which sat nicely under the shoulder plates. The lower arms were covered by vambraces that have intricate gilded design patterns covering everything.

The breastplate was made from various layers of rounded metal sheets. It covers the entire front and backside, but the attachment straps leave the sides under the arms exposed.

The upper legs were covered by a skirt of several layered metal sheets reaching down to the knee. The lower legs were protected by greaves which had several layers of curved metal attached to the outer sides, they formed a wing-like pattern.

”Me lord if we had access ta agradian metal we wou' have created something nearly invincible” Dhursir said.

”Don't worry about it old man, this is just the beginning when we conquer richer kingdoms with resources like Agradian we can forge new armors with it” just by looking at the shiny armor, Knight could see its toughness and terror it's going to strike into enemies's heart when they see Everlight's soldiers wearing this armor.

”Anyhow old man I'm very impressed by your work and I know Don would also when he sees this beauty” as Knight said he runs his paw through the armor like he was caressing a beautiful woman.

”Alright, Ken now it's your time” after finishing with the armor Knight said to Ken who stood there very excitedly.

”I present to you the Dark Reaper, my lord” Ken opened up the box to show a beautiful, delicately made longbow and quiver lying inside the box.

Seeing the longbow and quiver left Knight awestruck because he saw many bows in Divine Continent used by some famous archers but he had never seen such a bow as this one before him. Knight almost believed as this bow never belongs to this world or even this time as something about it made him feel like he stepped into the future or Ken's time.

The marvelous longbow had been rigorously constructed of magnificent iron oak. Its string was made from first-rate magical beast sinew, it's a very rare material around these parts of the magical world but it was pretty common in the forests of Everlight and Knight was thankful to Arwen because most of the materials were acquired by Arwen while he was hunting with his group in the forests of Everlight.

The limbs had been decorated with intricate carve work and end in curves ornamented with magic runes. The handle was wrapped in soft hide and decorated with gilded decorations.

Aside from the bow, the black quiver was made from coarse hide and supposed to be worn around the archer's back. The outer side had been decorated with ivory details, which may have been added by Ken on a lazy day.

”This is quite a weight” Knight said when he lifted the bow from the box.

”My lord in the hands of a skilled archer, this bow is capable of firing arrows up to 250 meters while still retaining lethal power”

Even though Ken seemed excited and proud Knight noticed something troubling Ken by seeing his eyes.

”Ken what is it? you seem worried” Knight put down the bow and asked.

”Not worried my lord disappointed, I could have created something more lethal, in my time we had cannons and death bringers” seeing by Ken's reaction when he was mentioning cannons and death bringers Knight's interest peaked.

”What are those? are those more powerful than the Dark Reaper here” Dhursir also turned his gaze towards Ken and looked very interested.

”Way more powerful and deadlier my lord if we had a bunch of cannons and an army unit equipped with death bringers we could sweep most of the kingdoms easily”

Ken looked like he wanted to brag about the weapons but he was stopped midway by the excited Knight. Dhursir could almost swear he saw stars coming out of Knight's eyes in excitement.

”Tell me! tell me Ken what do you need to create those”

”We don't have the materials here my lord besides we need rune masters, alchemists and many rare metals” Ken said.

Hearing Ken Knight couldn't help but feel disappointed but he knew weapons that powerful as Ken said could not be created easily or without an effort put on their part. However, Knight decided to gather the materials no matter what and create those lovely beauties for Everlight and conquer this world.
