51 Dabura (1/2)

The group assaulting Babidi's spaceship waited in the third level for their next opponent to arrive through the door. Raditz knew in the original series Dabura fought third against Gohan, but things being different; he expected anyone to show up. If the Demon King was, in fact Babidi's strongest warrior, then it would be best to eliminate him early.

The Supreme Kai was still stunned that the group had fought through the ship to the third level with relative ease. Even though he needed to push himself against the first opponent, Raditz effortless handled the next. In the Kai's opinion, the group's overall strength was still fully operational, not to mention the healing beans Raditz carried. The Supreme Kai resigned himself to learning more about the Saiyan and how he came to rule an empire. Kibito had similar thoughts as his master. He also couldn't believe that mortals would gain such strength while they weren't paying attention.

When the white door with the demon mark symbol on it opened, the Supreme Kai was greeted by a person he wasn't planning on seeing yet, Dabura. The Demon King proudly stepped out of the doorway with his white, bat-cut, cape flowing behind him. Once Dabura arrived in the middle of the room, he stopped and crossed his arms, smirking at the fighters.

”This is bad everyone,” the Supreme Kai said through gritted teeth, ”We should fight him together. The stories of his strength are legendary in the Demon Realm.”

”I agree.” Piccolo said, ”I can sense that his power is greater than Cell's.”

”I can take him!” Reiss volunteered. ”It might be fun.”

”What?” the Supreme Kai was again stunned, ”How can you say you want to fight the Demon King for fun, this is serious!”

The Kai thought sending Reiss would only accomplish getting the young man injured, along with lowering the group's power. He knew the blue haired teen was strong enough to power through his paralysis, but Dabura was a different story.

”The Supreme Kai is right. You'll only end up getting yourself hurt, boy.” Kibito said. The Kai's assistant tried to talk Reiss out of his decision to fight alone, fearing the worst.

Reiss harshly glared at Kibito, staring daggers into the well meaning assistant following his remarks. Kibito's eyes widened in confusion over what suddenly came over the teen. Reiss's arm seemed to flicker momentarily resulting in Kibito being sent flying back into the wall of the room. The long haired Kai slumped to the floor in pain with blood oozing from his face.

Raditz curiously stared as his son menacingly approached his downed victim. Kibito scramble to get back on his feet following the hit. The damage the half-Saiyan was capable of inflicting was greater than the assistant Kai imagined. Even as the blue haired teen loomed over him the fear of the Saiyan, now rooted in his heart, caused Kibito to be incapable of standing.

”Never call me 'boy' again, Kai.” Reiss's voice dripped with venom. ”Be thankful all I owed you was a punch in the face.”

Kibito quickly nodded his head, finally understanding what mistake he made. After seeing that Kibito understood,, Reiss quickly moved to the center of the room, appearing face to face with Dabura.

”You'll be fighting me.” Reiss said as he crossed his arms, ”I hope you won't be a waste of my time.”

”Be careful of his spit. Dabura uses it as a powerful weapon. If it hits you, you'll be turned to stone.” the Supreme Kai warned.

”I like your attitude.” Dabura laughed, ”It's too bad it won't be able to save you.”

The Demon King attacked with a kick as soon as he finished his sentence. The high speed attack was aimed directly into the ribs of the teen. Reiss reacted to the attack by blocking with his forearm, effortlessly stopping the kick.

”I really thought you were supposed to be special.” the teen sounded let down.

Dabura withdrew his leg and jumped back, putting some distance between himself and the teen. He was pleased his foe was capable of blocking his attack. The Demon King didn't put his full power behind the attack, but many people died to strikes of lesser power before. He wanted to draw out the teens power to break the seal containing Buu.

”Reiss kill him without going all out.” Raditz ordered. He understood that Babidi could use his power to capture the excess Ki given off to feed to Buu's seal.

Reiss nodded to his father in acknowledgment of his command. He knew it should still be possible to handle Dabura without relying on his full power, but it would be difficult. Dabura heard Raditz's words to his son, but didn't think the teen would be capable of holding back.

Dabura's Ki rose as he cloaked himself in a thick red aura. Babidi could see from the crystal ball that Dabura was prepared to use his full strength fighting the intruders. It was a good sign that the enemies had high enough energy levels to cause Dabura to decide to go all out. It meant that it had become that much easier to release Majin Buu.
