42 Games End (1/2)

Kakarot watched from the sidelines, full of excitement, as his brother battled the self-proclaimed perfect being Cell. The two had finished their impressive warm-up round and were ready to get serious about the fight. Kakarot stared down at his now Super Saiyan son to see if Gohan was as captivated by the fight as he was. During their training in the Room of Spirit and Time, Kakarot believed they had ascended to the next stage of a Super Saiyan. He was looking forward to testing whether he was correct or not in his belief. But if his brother was victorious, he would need to look for another opportunity.

Raditz effortlessly jumped into his Super Saiyan form, surprising his allies. The collection of Saiyan warriors were stunned by how gentle the output of the emperor's Ki was while maintaining its potency. After Gohan unlocked his transformation, he and his father spent their time training in the Super Saiyan state to adapt to the strain it causes the body. They both could tell Raditz's skill in controlling his Ki was on another level. Vegeta had difficulty coming to terms with the fact Raditz yet again surpassed the limits of his imagination.

A golden aura enveloped Cell as he powered up, matching his opponent's moves. The time traveling terror used its Saiyan genetics to transform into a Super state, complete with golden blonde hair. The pair of fighters once more initiated their high speed combat. Jimmy Firecracker was at a loss for words, completely dumbfounded by what he was seeing, or not seeing, rather. The only images Lionel could get, were of the stone pillars adorning the ring exploding.

When the fighter appeared again this time, they both seemed to have taken damage from the exchange. Cell, clearly, received the lion's share of the damage because he lost a leg at some point during the exchange. The mutant cyborg concentrated his Ki into the remaining stump of his leg and almost instantaneously regenerated the limb. The reports could tell by the smug expression on Cell's face, he considered the loss of his leg as only a minor irritation.

”Your skill is undeniable to be able to take off one of my limbs.” Cell praised. ”Unfortunately for you, I have the regenerative ability of a Namekian. You don't have any tricks I am not prepared for.”

”You really think so?” Raditz questioned.

The emperor's size started to increase as he focused his power. He let out a roar as his muscle mass increased, signifying the use of his Ape Power. Even the media crew knew something unusual was going on inside the ring.

”The Emperor seems to be building his power!” Jimmy commented, ”I'm not being hyperbolic when I say you can feel the pressure from this distance.”

Cell observed his opponent's transformation with interest, allowing the emperor to complete building his power. When the transformation was finished, a large and intimidating Raditz stood before the artificial being. The overly arrogant Cell was unimpressed by the massive increase in the Saiyan's power.

”You think you stand a chance against me in that form?” Cell laughed, ”Even I could do something like that, but it's pointless. That form's size severely hinders speed.”

A front kick from Raditz sent Cell spinning into the air. The creature barely had the chance to react to the speed the emperor used to close the distance. He narrowly managed to bring his arms up to block the kick aimed at his chin. It took no time for Cell to get his bearings, and begin his counterattack against his Saiyan foe.

Because the DNA taken from Raditz came from when he was a child, it didn't have the mutation the emperor underwent during the Hyper Moon event. Cell was caught off guard by the lack of a speed decrease he thought the form would carry. Even though he miscalculated about the speed of the form, Cell still remained confident in his superiority. He had the genetic skills, traits, and techniques of the strongest lifeforms. In his estimation, the chance of him losing was nearly zero.

A well timed Solar Flare from Cell blinded Raditz as he rapidly approached through the air. The emperor was forced to tightly shut his eyes because of the searing light. Cell used the opening to strike out at his blinded enemy. Using his Ki Field technique, Raditz was able to block the chain of blows unleashed by Cell.

The moment his vision returned, Raditz immediately began his counterattack. The two hovered in the air, continually striking back and forth at dizzying speeds, searching for an opening. Each successful block shook the area, causing Mr. Satan to become more aware of his inadequacies. He barely manage to learn the flying technique, and there was no way he could use it while fighting.

Jimmy Firecracker and his cameraman were blown back head over heels by the ring exploding into a shower of debris. Mr. Satan fearfully wobbled back to his feet after getting knocked down by the sudden blast.

”What?” the confused reporter didn't understand what had occurred, ”What happened?”

”I didn't see.” Tights hadn't witnessed what caused the blast, either.

”Raditz hit Cell into the middle of the ring.” Vegeta explained.

”Oh.” Tights seemed satisfied with his answer.

Jimmy and Lionel weren't positive about the answer they heard, but had no way to refute the explanation. Both reporter and cameraman were stunned when they saw that the Champ looked just as horrified by scene as they were.

”Mr. Satan! This fighter said the Emperor hit the monster into the arena so hard it caused the explosion. What do you think about his explanation?” Jimmy asked.

Mr. Satan was pulled out of his daze by the voice of the reporter questioning him. It took him a moment to realize what was happening. When he did, he quickly adopted his confident persona for the camera, fearing it wouldn't look good for his endorsement deals if he looked afraid.

”Ah,” Mr. Satan struggled to think of an answer, ”Of course that's what happened, Jimmy! It's obvious the Emperor would be able to move faster than the normal eye can see! Hahaha!”
