Frieza, the tyrannical emperor, was aboard his flagship bound for planet Namek. He was seated in his hovering throne, with his tail lazily draped over the lip of the vehicle. The tyrant was seeking to obtain immortality by using the Dragon Balls of the Namekians. He learned of the mysterious spheres through a conversation transmitted from Vegeta's Scouter.
The location of the planet was in the Frieza Forces' planetary database, but the planet was unremarkable. It offered no reason for the galactic emperor to ever need to send his troops there, until now. Even if the Dragon Balls turned out to be a hoax, it was worth investigating, personally. There was no chance the mission could go awry with him taking the lead.
However, his intuition told him it might not be as easy as it should to accomplish his goal. It could have just been his imagination; he was leaving nothing to chance, not when the opportunity to eternally reign over his empire was close at hand. He knew if his wish could be granted, no one in the universe would ever be his equal.
”Zarbon!” Frieza snapped.
An alien with light blue skin and a long green braided ponytail stepped forward. He was wearing wide shouldered Frieza Force armor with light pink sleeves cut off at the biceps. Zarbon, elegantly, bowed at the waist.
”Yes, Lord Frieza?” Zarbon asked his master.
”How much longer until we reach Planet Namek?” the tyrant asked his General.
”We will arrive in twenty four hours, my lord.” the light blue alien replied confidently.
”Good, very good.” Frieza stared out of the bubbled window of his saucer ship. Looking out at the stars still didn't relieve him of the feeling something was off. It could be the fact he didn't get a chance to punish Vegeta for his recent failure to take Earth. He once more turned his attention to Zarbon.
”I want you to summon the Ginyu Force. They will ensure nothing goes wrong.” Frieza ordered.
”At once lord Frieza, they should be able to arrive when we do.” Zarbon hurried to make the call to
Captain Ginyu.
He didn't expect his master to call the special forces out to a simple planet. Needless to say, neither he or his rival Dodoria would have much to do if the Ginyu Force was involved. Zarbon and Dodoria may be the highest ranking Generals in the Frieza Force, but they weren't a match for any of the members of the Ginyu Force.
In the Namek System, a small craft almost ladybug in design approached the planet. It was a Galactic Patrol craft. The small craft was stopped, before it made it far, by the Menagerie. The Galactic Patrol ship was dwarfed by the Prometheus Empire flagship. The being piloting the ladybug like ship was at a loss for what was happening. He had come to Namek to warn the leadership about the tyrant Frieza being detected heading towards the planet.
The patrolman received a message from his ship's communicator. Which led him to believe the ship did not belong to the Frieza Force, they never bothered with hails.
”Galactic Patrol craft, this is Commander Lime of the Prometheus Empire flagship Menagerie. Please respond.” a female sounding voice said through his ship's control panel.
”This is Patrolman Jaco. I'm on an urgent mission to Planet Namek.” the Patrolman answered the voice. He wasn't exactly sure what the Prometheus Empire was but he heard rumors over the last several years that a new empire had formed in the far fringes of the North Area.
”The Prometheus Empire is currently conducting operations in this system. Please leave.” Commander Lime responded coldly.
”You don't seem to understand. Commander Lime, was it? I have been task with a mission by the Galactic King to warn the planet.” Jaco explained with an air of condescension.
”The Prometheus Empire does not recognize the Galactic King.” Lime responded with same coolness as before.
”What about the press?” Jaco was smashed against the glass dome of his ship by his human friend. She decided to accompany him on this mission because she had gotten hired by the Galactic News Broadcasting station as a journalist. She was also looking for inspiration for her next book.
”Tights!” an excited voice rang out of Jaco's panel.
”Bulma!” his passenger called back with equal excitement.
The Patrolman's ship was brought onto the Menagerie. It turned out that his friend from Earth, Tights, was the sister of the Empress of the Prometheus Empire. Jaco figured it was as they say ”a small galaxy.”
Tights was surprised to see her younger sister Bulma wearing a set of skirted black and red caped armor. She clearly was going to have to make a point to stay in touch more often. Although Bulma was her younger sister, the pair would be mistaken as twins if not for Tights inheriting their mother's blonde hair.
Bulma escorted the pair to a private lounge to discuss want brought them to the planet. Jaco once again explained the mission he was sent on. Bulma listened to the explanation and led the two out of the lounge to a large compartment on the ship. Most of the population of the planet had been moved to the Menagerie until after Frieza was dealt with. The move was to ensure the populace would avoid being caught up in collateral damage that may occur during the battle. The Patrolman was taken to the Grand Elder to deliver his message.
”By the way, if you are Empress, who is the Emperor? Is he here?” Tights asked her sister. Her journalist's instincts were boiling for an interview.
”His name is Raditz. He's a Saiyan, and he's on the Planet.” Bulma answered her sister.
”Saiyan!” the bug eyed Patrolman Jaco sharply turned around to face Bulma, ”Did you say Saiyan!?”
”Yes.” Bulma narrowed her eyes. ”Is that a problem?”
”To think the Saiyans aren't extinct after all, and one's even started an empire.” Jaco said to himself gripping his chin. ”Is he going to destroy the planet?”
”My husband, for your information hasn't destroyed a planet since he was a child.” the Empress sternly said.
Jaco snapped out of his musings from Bulma's statement.
