7 Preparations (1/2)

”This is amazing work, Dr. Briefs.” I said.

Before me stood a very large saucer shaped spacecraft. It stood on four spindly spider-like legs with a ramp extending from the bottom. The ship took up a sizable portion of the Capsule Corp gardens.

”So this was made from our ships?” Kakarot asked. He had met up with us at Capsule Corp because he had wanted to do some training with me.

”Well, this was made entirely from Raditz's ship along with Capsule Corp. custom parts designed specifically for this. I wanted to try a different design for yours. Bulma wanted to take the lead on this ship's design.” Dr. Briefs informed us.

Bulma showed me a green visor connected to two earpieces.

”I redesigned your scouter device into a wearable communication device that still retains the scouter function and can control the ship.” she had a look full of pride.

The ship was fully equipped with four bedrooms, a kitchen, and gym. A staircase on the main floor led up to a second level, which consisted of a small bridge. Aesthetically it was very clinical incorporating white as the primary color of the interior red was secondary. I would've guessed black yellow or purple those seemed to be Bulma's most liked colors or it those could just be Capsule Corp. colors.

After a short fight tutorial I chauffeured my brother to the western wastelands. Tonight was going to be a full moon and I was going to help him control the great ape. In the hours that led up to the full moon I gave Kakarot pointers and mental techniques I learned to maintain my reason.

When we transformed my brother rampaged around for just over an hour before he stopped moving and just stared into the distant desert wasteland. He wasn't in control but he did manage to restrain himself. Restraint is the biggest hurdle to get over. As long as one can restrain the actions of the ape they can practice alone without worrying about mindless destruction.

It probably helped that Kakarot had experienced the transformation in the past, he wasn't as shocked by the experience this time. I tried talking to him but he never gained control of the form.

He should be given credit for getting as far as he did.

We returned to Capsule Corp the following day after several hours of sparring. Bulma greeted us as soon as we landed.

”You'll never guess who requested a meeting with you.” she said.

”Um-” I was cut off.

”The King of the Earth! The King!” she finished.

”Why does he want to meet and why contact you?” I asked.

”I don't know why he wants a meeting, but he contacted Capsule Corp because we sponsored the tournament so we had access to the participants' contact information.” she answered.

Bulma removed her jet-car Dyno-cap and tossed it on the ground. I was curious about what the king wanted so I decided to go. Kakarot was more curious about what a king looked like than what he wanted. It took two hours to arrive at the king's castle.

We stood in front of an expensive finely crafted desk. Behind the desk sitting in a luxurious blue leather chair was the king, an anthropomorphic dog. He had light blue fur and whiskers styled into a mustache. He wore a dark black suit with a purple pinstriped vest and glasses. It was a strange sight when I saw him animated and it was still strange in person.

”Now I'm certain you are wondering why I asked you here.” we nodded at the king's statement. ”The Royal Army has run into some trouble. Village territories have been destroyed by a group calling themselves the Red Ribbon Army.”

I knew where the king was headed with this, but I was already working on the Garlic problem for Kami.

”After watching the last World Martial Arts Tournament I believed you two would be of get help to my army.” the king finished.

”I'm sure my brother Kakarot and his friends could help you, but I already have an issue I'm working to correct.” the king was disappointed by my answer.

Bulma and I flew back to Capsule Corp. while Kakarot went back to Kame Island to gather his friends.

Back in Bulma's workshop I asked her how long it would take to adapt my scouter technology to long range satellites.

”Well...” she thought about it for a moment, ”It really depends on how many you need. I think it would take around a month to make six.”

”Would that give me a decent scan of Earth?” I asked.

”More than likely.” she answered.

The ability to locate Garlic in a month was good. I would be able to try out the ship's gravity chamber function. Dr. Brief's told me it could go up to one hundred times Earth gravity. Once I handled Garlic Jr. and his group I would have time to really abuse the chamber, but for now I chose to workout in twenty times Earth's gravity.

Jumping straight into twenty times gravity was pure punishment. It took a day to adapt to the gravity without Senzu bean assistance. A week later and I was fully comfortable in twenty times Earth gravity. I could feel my strength improving by leaps and bounds. When I finally locate my target he won't know what hit him.

When Bulma had completed the satellites needed for the miniature satellite network we launched them into position from my ship. After the last satellite was placed Bulma sat back in the pilot seat and equipped the green tinted scouter visor. Using the visor she connected the satellite network to the ship's sensors.

”Ok, I'm scanning for strong powers that share similar DNA to that guy you fought in the tournament.” she said.

”Thanks, Bulma what do I owe you for your help?' I asked.

”D-date.” she stuttered.

”What?” I didn't think she'd ask for that.

”I want a date. With you.” she stated confidently.
