Chapter 65 - Unexpected news (1/2)

Right at nine am, she heard a knock. Jing Lihua gave herself a look in the mirror and smiled satisfactorily. She looked gorgeous. After picking up her pouch bag, she opened the door with a confident smile but her smile dropped and changed to a confused frown when she saw a totally unexpected man standing at her door.

”Heng Bingwen? What in the seven Hells are you doing here?”

”There something very important I must tell you!” He was gasping for air. It seemed like he had run all the way here. And indeed, it was true. After he got the news, he went straight to the airport and took the latest flight to Hong Kong. He didn't even wait for a second for rest and ran straight to where his President was residing.

”Alright. Come in first.” Considering the gravity of the situation Jing Lihua let him in and guided him to the couches.  She even brought him a glass of water. ”Now tell me exactly what happened?”

Heng Bingwen looked reluctant. ”President, what I'm going to tell you is not going to be easy. I'm afraid you might be shocked greatly. Please prepare yourself well before I tell you this.”

”You are now scaring me. I company alright?”

”It is alright. It's about the DNA reports.”

Suddenly Jing Lihua felt cold all over her body. Taking in a deep breath, she steadied her heart. The way Heng Bingwen had rushed all the way here. It must be bad news.

”Are you ready to listen?” Heng Bingwen asked with consideration.

”Yes, go on.” Jing Lihua said in a calm voice but inside her heart was thumping loudly.

”Alright. It was not easy for me to get the DNA sample of your mother. I mean at the time of her death, her body was totally burned. Besides all the DNA reports from earlier were purposely eradicated by your grandfather. It seemed like he wanted to hide something. After much effort and using a lot of connections, I managed to get a DNA report at the time of her death. After that, I gave the reports to match your DNA. And President...” Heng Bingwen looked reluctant.

”Please say it...”

”The reports came out negative. I sent the samples of the DNA three times to confirm. But still negative.”
