At Green Hill Palace' secret meeting room.

Bai Linsu and Linghu Shuang were waiting at the doors. A man with gold-plated armor with carvings of flames on it proceeded to report on their arrival to the higher authority. As for the other black-armored guard, he stood at the doors to keep watch on Bai Linsu and Linghu Shuang.

One could imagine that Bai Linsu must have just put on her most serious look. She did not dare to look away from the doors. As for Linghu Shuang, she felt extremely nervous to enter the Palace. She did not even dare to take in deep breaths.

Creak…

The heavy stone doors were being pushed open. The guards who went in earlier were now out.

”The Empress will see you now, Bai Linsu!”

”How about me?” asked Linghu Shuang.

The guard then looked at her with a darkened face and did not even bother to answer her question.

”Shuang'er! Wait for me here! Remember! Do not simply spurt things that you shouldn't say!”

”Yes master!”

Actually, Bai Linsu had given Linghu Shuang the same advice multiple times while they were on their way to the palace. Knowing how serious the consequences of running her mouth was, Linghu Shuang shut her mouth immediately. Upon seeing that, Bai Linsu finally let out a sigh of relief and entered the secret meeting room.

Black was the theme of the secret meeting room. Its interior design made the entire place look like a solemn funeral home. A woman at her thirties was sitting at throne which was aptly placed in the middle on the chamber. She was wearing a crown and covered in a long royal robe. Clearly, this woman was none other than the empress of Green Hill, Bai Zxuan!

”Linsu! Come here! Let me take a look at you!”

The moment the Empress saw Bai Linsu, her serious look was swept away and it was replaced by a gentle demeanour. Now, she looked more like a sister to Bai Linsu rather than an Empress.

”Sister…”

Bai Linsu walked towards her with a smile on her face. It was not hard to notice that the two of them were indeed sisters since they looked extremely alike.

”I know it's been a tough journey for you! I'm sorry that you have to go out there all by yourself…” said Bai Zixuan while holding Bai Linsu's hands.

As the younger sister of the Empress, Bai Linsu was actually part of the royal family. She could have chosen to stay at the palace to enjoy all the luxuries it had to offer if she wanted to. Because of a secret, Bai Linsu had to hide her true identity from others and risked her life to complete the task. One could only imagine the pain that she had to go through. That was why Bai Zixuan showed her so much love she was back at the palace.

”Today is a happy day! Let's not talk about it!”

Bai Linsu put on a smile and took out a really beautiful jade from the pocket, and handed it to Bai Zixuan.

”Sister, congratulations for getting a prince! I'm giving this jade to my future nephew!”

”The doctor is not even here yet! How do you know it's a prince? What if the baby is a princess?” asked Bai Zixuan with a smile.

”If he is a prince, he will inherit the throne! And if the baby is a princess, I'm pretty sure that she will becomes as pretty as you!”

Suddenly, the huge doors were being pushed open by someone. Without the escort of guards nor summoning by the Empress, an old thin man with a black robe walked into the secret meeting room. Instead of getting angry, Bai Zixuan and Bai Linsu were showing a slight hint of fear.

”Prince Regent… Why… Why are you here?” asked Bai Zixuan in a trembling voice.
