Chapter 632: Epilogue of the prologue (1/2) (1/2)
It was hard to speak about the time in the state that I was in. What appeared to be ages to the living beings under the watch of my endless clones, was nothing but a heartbeat for me. The only reason that allowed me to more-or-less keep up with the constant development all over the universe was the fact that I delegated more than half of my entire consciousness just to processing and saving the information forwarded by my clones to the hive's hub.
In the end, no matter how enormous my consciousness grew due to the constant splitting and regeneration of it, it was still something that few from the seed of what my soul originally was. Even if it was slightly special due to my transmigration to another world in the first place, there was still the limit of what I could wield mind-wise at a single time.
In the end, rather than focusing on developing the life that would solve my problem in my stead, I had no other choice but to leave this task to my offshoot clones while focusing on another task with the central hub of my consciousness.
Bit by bit, I continued to assimilate all the knowledge that constantly poured deep into my mind. Bit by bit, the findings of all sorts of civilisations about the magic, its nature and potential uses continued to fill my non-physical brain.
While most of them were on the pretty primitive level of using external means like magic stones or spells, some of the more lucky worlds actually managed to nail their guesses pretty close to what I considered to be the true nature of the magic myself.
That was the only problem that I didn't consider in advance when filling the worlds with life with my bloodlines. Even without any of them activating, a smart part of my real self was still enriching those beings, making them come up with theorems that were weirdly close to what I discovered myself, even though they didn't really have any basis to come up with those ideas.
Unlike me, who sustained the brunt of the entropy in order to learn about its nature, beings born to my bloodline would just randomly happen upon a moment of enlightenment, shedding a bit of light at a single, small element of the magic theorem that I was using myself.
But it didn't matter in the grand scheme of things.
While some of the worlds had their technology forcibly altered by those enlightenments, it wasn't the case for everyone. With just a single scan through all the insane list of the worlds where someone managed to transmigrate to another world, hardly any of the destination worlds had anything to do with the magic sourced from me.
Given how the algorithm behind the transmigration was completely random, as random as a thing could be in a perfectly orderly world of physics, something had to prevent the living beings under my care from transmigrating to the worlds where my influence was already too great.
As interesting as this topic was, I wasn't willing to waste my time on it. Rather than that, while the main mass of my consciousness continued on its work of assimilating all the knowledge that this entire universe managed to come up with, a small part of me turned its attention to another task.
With nothing more but a simple wish, I found a planet that had perfect conditions for the life to sprout on it. What the scientists that would happen upon it would consider as nothing more but an extremely unlucky set of circumstances that prevented the life from budding on it, was actually nothing else but my personal intervention, killing all the beings that had a chance of developing sentience the moment they appeared.
This kind of action would be scorned upon on earth. Killing entire species just to achieve a simple objective was nothing short of genocide… That is if any of those being actually managed to become self-aware. But despite my earthy origins, I couldn't see this action of mine as anything more but preparing the staging ground for the last step of my grandiose plan.
Once the life on the planted finally managed to explode and bloom without any of the species on it evolving to the point of obtaining intelligence, I could finally start taking more serious steps.
With most of the knowledge produced by the universe already safely stored within my magical synapses, I took on the greatest task that any being in any universe could ever fathom. With the endless numbers of all sorts of living being populating my universe…
