Chapter 615: Eves question (1/2)
”What an exciting day…”
Throwing the huge sack filled with the heavy stones that I managed to earn in a single day, I sat on the bed with a huge sigh leaving my mouth.
”But at least we… you managed to get us rich. Wasn't that worth it?”
Not even wasting a single second of her time, Eve sat right down on my lap, snuggling up to my chest. With her hands already busy roaming around my body, I could easily tell what she was aiming to do in a near future. After all, it was the first time in a long while when we could spend the night in a proper room with a comfortable bed!
”In terms of money, yeah. Who could've thought that those heavy stones could be formed into nearly any other type of matter?”
Bringing up the short explanation that they heard from the elder back at the trash yard, I shook my head while allowing my hands to sneak under Eve's clothes. Feeling the warmth of her skin under my fingers, instead of instantly aiming for her erogenous zones I opted to lightly massage the sides of her waist.
”Either way, while monetary-wise this was a good move, I can't help but get worried about the possible fame that this accident will bring to us. What's the good of being rich if we will have to use most of it to placate the people striving to take it from us or even worse, use us to obtain even more wealth?”
While the fact that between me, Eve and Bonger we wielded the power that allowed us to rival any powerhouse of this world was quite calming, given how I already had my share of fights and bloodshed in the life so far, I wasn't that willing to just charge into yet another conflict recklessly.
Squeezing Eve's bottom while her breath falling on my ears made my brain tingle was far more interesting than getting down to the dirty and unpleasant fights!
”Don't tell me that you are scared…”
Poking fun at me while she pulled her upper clothes out through her neck and threw her away, Eve wrapped her arms around my head only to pull it right into her bust. With my lips falling on top of her right breast, I instantly moved into the action, sucking, lightly biting and generally caressing the part of her body that was supposed to feed our child somewhere in the future.
”Scared? Nay. More like, I don't really want to waste our time on this kind of people. From what I saw in this place so far, it's not that different from the sword sect when everything began. The only difference lies in the fact that a potential conflict wouldn't result with some huts getting slightly dirty, but entire cities worth of land getting devastated in the aftermath.”
Rather than jumping on the opportunity to get even closer to Eve, I moved her around on my lap so that I could hug her from behind. With my hand swapped around her waist, I rested my head on her shoulder, enjoying the calm moment between the two of us.
”Well, that's an undeniable truth. We came so far already… But I just can't help it but wish to sometimes visit that place once again… And how about you? Do you wish to go back at times?”
Clearly enjoying the slow pace of our cuddles, Eve's mood turned nostalgic. Glancing at her face, I could see that her sight was absent, as if she was reminiscing about the times long gone.
