390 Conflicting mishap (1/2)
While I already learned to accept the fact that those primitives state of mind greatly differed from my own or even that of the people from cultivation world, it bothered me to no end what was the source of this change. Like most of the stuff that people would take for granted in any society, in reality, it had its roots deep in the historical events that gave birth to said civilisation in the first place.
Back on earth, women stayed at home because of a simple fact. One man could impregnate multiple women at the same time, while one woman could only bear the child of one man in a specific period of time. With the long pregnancy time when compared to the other animals, primitive people were forced to use their own selves to the maximum of their potential if they wanted their lineage to stay afloat, making men the actually dispensable part of the community.
Obviously, as the civilisation advanced and the constant culling of population diminished to a manageable level, those men who used to go out and be active in terms of discovery and exploring started deepening the rift, even though the reason for this behaviour wasn't as important as it used to. The fact of being the physically stronger sex still remained, making them more suited to be warriors, but it was the fault of the tradition and their historic upbringing that the position of the women plummeted down and down.
But in this world, where the inborn physique was nothing when compared to what any human could achieve by cultivating, developing their body or using the mana in any way that allowed him to gain an edge, that small differences that allowed the men to remain at the top on earth, were simply too small to matter in this world.
It was men's urges that levelled the field for the women. The physique no longer remained supreme, as just a small difference in cultivation was enough to overcome it. With nature no longer as deadly as it was for primitives on earth, once the tribes in this world conquered the stable style of life, both sexes emerged absolutely equal!
At least, that's the simple version of the story. Just by thinking about this in a proper way, one could see how wrong it actually was!
If the basic equations that resulted in a specific cultural and societal outcome in the earthy civilisation were upset due to the influence of energy in this world, there was no way that other aspects of life would remain the same!
”It was always like that. Only by possessing me in front of the public, they will be forced to recognise me as the princess-dowager!”
Ah, so this time it was a matter of politics!
As we made our way towards the part of the forest where countless men were using their fist to wore down the base of the tree to a point where it would give up and fall down. Just this sight alone made me dumbstruck, but seeing around fifteen men and women sitting on those logs and trying to carve their insides with just a small knifes, I realised what was another mistake I made.
With the order to create the ships, they put all the manpower into this task!
”Okay, everyone stop and come here. We are going to do some changes.”
There was no way I could hold back even a single second longer. Just a few seconds of looking at how careful those artisans were in carving the logs out, I understood that my initial perception of them as just a tad more skilled but still primitives, was actually wrong.
