Chapter 156 - Unpleasant surprise (1/2)
”Finally, it's time for our most priced commodity to appear!”
After all the stones were finally auctioned, I gained a bit more than eleven thousand coins! No matter what this next item is, be it useful or not, I need to spend most of this money, otherwise, I won't be able to carry all this wealth with me! With no credit card available in this word, if anyone were to see me receiving an enormous bag of coins like that, I would be done for!
”Ham, what would be the best way to have fun in this city with my newfound wealth? I think I won't be able to use those coins when we join some sect later on, so I would like to quickly get rid of them.”
While the auction still not concluded, there is no point in leaving this matter for a later date. With just one item remaining, the chances that it would be anything interesting were small, so I started thinking about my future moves already.
”If you want to quickly spend such a huge sum, you could always buy out the stockpiled items from our warehouses, but they will be priced higher than usual. If you want to enjoy yourself or cultivate, either energy hall or clashing hall would be a wise choice. As for your beautiful partner, I could recommend energy hall as well and a yin lake. While those places are insanely pricey, the effects they bring on one's cultivation are enormous!”
While this clashing hall is obviously some kind of brothel for cultivators, this energy hall got me curious. Deriving my guess from its name, it should be a place when one could absorb big amounts of energy! I wonder if that would work with Bogner though!
”For the final product of today's auction, let me present the mighty! The Legendary! One of a kind! Noob's smasher!”
Hearing the shouting of the auction presenter, I couldn't help but look through the glass at the podium, only to see my own damn sword being auctioned! How the hell did it found it's way here!
Recalling that I kinda dropped it on the ground back at the arena, considering how I threatened everyone to not dare to pick it up, I was sure that it would just stay there! While it is obviously my fault that I actually forgot about it, who dares to sell my own property!
”Ham, I'm the one who made this sword, but it was stolen from me. Can you check who brought it for the auction?”
With the dark clouds of ill fate gathering over me, I send our fat attended off. As soon as he burst out of the doors, I turned my self to Eve while taking a sip of the tea that the maids brought before.
”I guess we know who is responsible for this…”
Noticing a furious look on her face as she stared at my sword being auctioned by someone else, I couldn't help but smile lightly. While the weapon itself was already worthless for me, considering that it was something I made on a whim to not bully Baxhar back then, the fact that I was played like that still made me quite angry. But all those negative emotions disappeared when I saw how angry Eve was for my sake!
”We need to get rid of him… Not only your cousin, my family and even him? How the hell this joyous time turned into a congregation of people we would like to never meet again in our lives!”
Slamming her tiny fist on the table, I saw cracks appearing on its surface. Only thanks to the precise control of her energy did the cups and gourds placed on it remained intact.
”I guess we need to take care of them one by one. Nothing good will come if they figure out the existence of each other. While they are not a problem while separated, this might change if they join their forces.”
While I would love to just find Baxhar and trash him properly once again, doing so would surely alert Veriel, not to speak about Eve's kin noticing her presence! No matter how much I would love to see his face broken, I can't make my move just yet!
