Chapter 42 Ultimate solution pt. 2 (1/2)
Just as I thought, not only is this monster an overlord of its respective area, keeping other powerful monsters from invading the weaker parts of the forest, it's not a single creature of it's kind! Even if I would be able to easily take care of his brethren of the same power level, there is no way I can stand against its damn mother!
While I might be stronger than the common people from Eve's sect, maybe even stronger than the sect master herself, just a slight feeling of penguin's mother aura makes me tremble in fear. As many cultivation novels back on earth like to state - there is always a higher mountain!
Taking my shirt off, I approach the monster, with both of my weapons back in my storage ring. While it's looking at me warily, the ordeal that I put it through made it unable to retaliate against any action that I would like to take against it!
Ripping my shirt to pieces, I kneel in front of this pitiful animal and cover the wounds that I made before. While I can't really heal them, I can at least stop the bleeding! With all the blood essence that I stole from it already, if it keeps losing its power it might very well die in just a few moments!
While I cover its wounds, I dish some precious loot from my storage ring that I obtained from killing Gyuarnas. With over fifty corpses of this low levelled animal lying around the forest, I present this penguin with the same amount of the beast hearts, knowns as the most energetic part of this particular family!
Puzzled to the end of its small mind by my actions, Penguin snatches one of the hearts while distancing itself from me at the same time! Seeing that our previous fight won't be forgotten by just a small offering of mine, I sit down on the ground and watch the monster devour his food.
Only when the entire organ disappears inside its massive beak, does this penguin carefully approaches the rest of the offering lying on the ground. Noticing a lack of any movement from my side, it happily jumps at the food and starts devouring every last bit of it!
Only when its meal is finished, I dish out the ultraviolet sword from my storage ring and place it on my palms while extending it towards the animal.
While it pains me to lose such a powerful weapon, I need to give this monster some kind of advantage over the other overlords that might attempt to snatch its territory. Seeing how fast I can grow with the system, I will be able to craft such weapons shortly, but for this penguin, its the difference between life and death!
Finally noticing my change of mind, it takes the sword into it's left fin while throwing me a strange look. Considering the demonic beast's nature, I am wary of sudden attack, but instead of aggression, I feel a sudden touch on my arm!
It patted my arm! This damn, cute monster patted my arm as if it was my long lost friend!
