Chapter 20 Moment of respite before the grinding (1/2)

As the sweet aroma spreads through the air of the shadowy forest, I carefully observe the bird roasting over the small fire. It serves him right! To dare to attack me in the moment of victory, even if other enemies ran away!
Well, considering how it's formerly beautiful feathers were lying on an orderly mountain on the side while his skin was slowly turning golden, it got what it deserved! Considering the cliches that seem to appear often in my presence, I should say something along the lines:
~I will be the world's greatest fighter, how did it imagine hurting me!
Well, the real me would never say such an embarrassing line! I was far from being expert of any cultivation level right now. While my strength - especially when paired with windslord - appeared to be immense, yet my lack of experience or techniques really hindered me on the warrior path!
Taking a look at the pulsating exclamation mark on the verge of my vision I see the following messages.

With the popout list of important information regarding my actions, I can now roughly guess the reason behind the demonic beasts outburst right after entering the forest!
Even if when looking at the status window I can still see over 300 exp left for me to level up, that can only motivate me even further instead of putting my humble self down. Killing just a few small fries didn't pose a treat to me but allowed my system to soak at least a bit of XP from them.
