Mrs. Cloud looked back at him, her eyebrow raising. ”Are you suggesting that I do not understand the reason for my very own action, or that I'll regret these steps I've taken today?”

Mr. Cloud didn't utter a word, but his face was all the answers she needed to see.

”Ah… I see,” she muttered, eyes peering down at him. ”You're desperate.”

Mr. Cloud's head raises immediately and he locks eyes with his wife. She doesn't blink. She isn't surprised, she isn't flustered, she's not even sad. There was not a grain of emotions that would show that she could possibly regret the situation later.

He stared at her with wide eyes as both his large eyes grip her shoulder. There was still nothing even.

”Now can you see?” Mrs. Cloud asked, looked down as Mr. Cloud slumped down to a squatting position on the ground, ”the difference between us?”

Mr. Cloud didn't react.

”I don't question my thoughts, actions, or the way I react to things. What I do, is what I want. What I get rid of, is what I hate. What I protect is what I love,” Mrs. Cloud muttered as she squatted down to his level. ”I've always been a simple mind, it's just that I love holding high topics in my heart.”

Mr. Cloud let out a long sigh. ”I can never understand, no matter how much you explain,” he smiled painfully, ignoring the teardrops forming at the edge of his eyes. ”It always looks like you're on the opposing team. Like you're always after me, or want to reduce me to hell.”

Mrs. Cloud looked down at him blankly. In her eyes was a deep sense of disgust when she noticed the teardrops in his eyes. It was revolting.

She stood up from her position on the ground and peered down at him. ”That's because I always am,” she replied.

”What?”

”That is the promise I made to myself. To never trust you,” Mrs. Cloud explained, ”I didn't even get to count how many times you lied to me. I didn't count how many times you lied to Vixen, the company, and couldn't count how many times you lied to yourself.” Her head tilted to the ground as she looked down at him. ”You expect me to trust someone like that?”

Mr. Cloud's face stared up at Mrs. Cloud as a teardrop ran down his face. He looked heartbroken.

”I can never bring myself to trust you the same amount I used to. Every time you lied, every time you killed, every time you would go on your 'business' trips to killing manic spurs, a part of me died. You should know very well that there's only a certain bit that someone can take before breaking apart,” Mrs. Cloud smiled, her eyes locking with his. They glowed in anger. ”My cup overflowed like a hammer had rammed into its side and it stayed broken, always overflowing, always full. There is no space for anything more and to do that I have to keep on releasing consistent flows of something in me to stay sane.”

”This is your fault love,” Mrs. Cloud chuckled, squatting down to his level. She locked eyes with him and lifted up his head with a finger underneath his chin. ”If there's any reason to my insanity, anything reason to how broken I am, how much I want to cry but can't, how much I was to laugh but I can't. How much I want to kill you but can't.”

Mr. Cloud flinched as he looked into her eyes. There was not a cent of regret in her eyes as she said those words. She meant it.

A smile formed on her face as she tilted his head to the side. ”It's your fault. How broken I am, how well I treat myself, and badly everyone else here. How I react to Vixen now because I don't know how else to face him. It's all your fault,” she chuckled, white teeth showing. It was more of a condescending smirk than a smile. ”It was all your love that caused this mess.”

Mr. Cloud trembled, unsure of how to answer. He quivered, 'was this really all my fault?' he thought to himself. 'I caused this? I drove her off the edge?' He peered up into her eyes. There was not a notion of hesitancy or lies in them. 'Ye… it was me. It couldn't be anyone else.'

”I see how you love people now,” Mrs. Cloud chuckled as she turned his head left and right using her index finger under his chin. ”So with that, why don't I try to love you back?”

Mr. Cloud flinched, a shiver running down his spine as he caught a whiff of the emotion in her eyes as she said that sentence. It was killing intent.

She pulled in close to his face, her smile diminishing to a thin line as she stared into his eyes. ”Robert. The one who brought me down here to the hell where he lived, the one who let me get a taste of how it was to rule hell and dominate. The one who ruined me,” she muttered, her eyes dimming. ”Robert. I love you.”

Without a moment of hesitation, she leaned in and kissed him. Her lips pressing into his and resting there for a moment.
